17. " SHE IS MINE "

( GUDDAN'S P.O.V )

Next morning, I woke up at the sound of loud banging,
I blinked twice & rubbed my eyes grogily.
Aanya's voice reached my ears,

" Wake up madam, we are going to be late.

I smiled despite myself and my mind drifted back to the memories of last night,
By the time Akshat dropped me home it was already past midnight, I didn't wanted to face Aanya just after the date night so I silently came to my room without making her aware of my return.

" Are you even listening Guddan.? "

" Umm yeah Aanya, I'm just getting ready "

I glanced at the clock & realised I'm running late,
I hurriedly got ready & ran out the door without even looking at mirror,
I was almost near the front door when suddenly someone screamed from my right.
I jumped in fright & saw Aanya with her eyes wide and mouth hanging open,
Her gaze was fixed on my neck,

I stared at her in utter confusion,

" Aanya what happened, why you screamed " I asked her cautiously.

" Oh M Geeeeeee, OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG "

It was a ridiculous sight to see Aanya bouncing on her legs like a little girl after getting her favourite toy,
She was continuously saying OMG while gazing at my neck leaving me in black,
She grabbed my hand and dragged me outside the door,

" Woah.!  Calm down, what has gotten into you this morning " I spoke after a while, chuckling.

" Nothing, I don't want to be late " And just like that old Aanya has returned,
I wonder what that bouncing act was for.

Something's not right,
Everyone is acting weirdly,

These were the first thought occured to me when I stepped in college,
Almost everyone was staring at me with an unreadable expression & wide eyes,

More specifically at my neck.!!!!
What the actual heck..!!

I heard my name being called by someone, upon turning around I noticed that someone was Rehaan,

He practically ran & bumped into me,
Uh-huh.!!  Hello to you too Rehaan.

I rolled my eyes at him and continued towards my class,
Seems like Rehaan can ramble worse than a girl,
I sighed and glanced behind me, disappointment flowed through me,

I haven't seen Akshat since I got here,
I turned my head towards Rehaan to ask him about Akshat & nearly gasped out of irritation, while Rehaan just gawked at my neck.
He slowly reached for me but retreated his hand from mid-air,
And out of the blue he started laughing like a total moron,

" OH MY GOSH, AKSHAT,
OMG OMG OMG OMG.!!!!!!! "

Geez haven't they seen a girl's neck before this day,
Firstly Aanya, then whole college and now Rehaan,
What's got into them.

" Rehaan, Where is Akshat " I asked him angrily but he was too busy in controlling his laughter to notice anything.

I left his laughing butt there and went around the corridor to find Akshat.

I was rounding the corner when someone yanked me forcefully from behind and placed his hand on my mouth,
I struggled in the person's hold but he dragged me to the empty classroom

I shivered terribly when I came face to face with Rishabh. He had a maniac look on his face,
I was terrified to the core,

" Rishabh what are you doing, please let me go "
I managed to choke out once he removed his hand from my mouth.

" I am not going to repeat same mistake now, those two idiots will not be able to do anything this time "

" What are you talking about, "
I was honestly confused what's Rishabh saying, has he gone insane.

" Dance competition night, I had so many plans for that night, but everything went in vain, you got paired with that Business Boy "

" First of all, That Business Boy has a name and that's Akshat jindal.
And secondly, I got paired with Akshat because my partner that means you ditched me, "

" I didn't ditched you, Aanya and Rehaan were responsible for all that mishap "

" Stop lying through your teeth, Aanya and Rehaan were with me "

Rishabh laughed loudly and gripped my hand in a bruising hold.

" You are so naive Guddan, you really don't know a single shit,
You were paired with Akshat from the very beginning but Ahaana changed your name with her and mine with Akshat that day when Mr. Verma announced the names,

Everything was going smoothly but those two dumbasses have to come in middle and ruin our plan,
They put superglue on my seat after break, the practice day,
You know what, I spent whole hour trying to detach my butt from that chair,

And you want to know more, the competetion day, I was almost there but out of no where again those two friends of yours came and wrapped a black cloth around my face and tied me to a frickin tree in the middle of the jungle,
You were dancing with Akshat and I was doing tree dance with those terrifying people from jungle tribe. "

Aanya, Rehaan.!!!  What a creativity.

Rishabh slowly advanced towards me while I returned back to my panicked state.
He released my hand and slammed me harshly against the wall,
My eyes went wide with fear as I saw him leaning towards me,

Suddenly I heard the door of classroom slammed open and in next second Rishabh was torn away from front of me,
I nearly screamed out my guts when I saw Akshat beating the living crap out of Rishabh.
Blood was splattered all around his face and he was barely able to open his eyes.

Akshat held him by collar and spoke furiously.

" If you ever get in a ten foot area of Guddan, I swear I'll tear you in shreds and feed you off the dogs,
Guddan is mine, got it.
SHE IS MINE, ONLY MINE "

With a final hit, Akshat left him to his fate and hurried to me.
I hugged him for dear life while he held me gently but possessively,

After somewhat composing myself I pulled back & gazed at him.

Akshat opened his mouth to say something but for a moment his eyes flickered to my neck & he froze in his tracks,
He stared at me for a long moment and slowly his face turned into a smirk, while his eyes began shining in mischief,

" OMG "

Ok now I've enough of this,
I huffed in annoyance and strudded towards the broken mirror at window side, I glanced at my reflection in the mirror & gasped loudly,
Different shades of crimson crept upon my face in embarrassment, omg now I get it why Aanya & Rehaan were acting like a maniac this morning, why I was getting wide-eyed weird stares from other students,

At the side of my neck, on full display was a Big Frickin Hickey,
A god damn hickey,

I turned my head towards Akshat,

" You are so in trouble Akshat "
He laughed and ran outside the door while I followed him.

" Oh first catch me Darling, btw that Hickey suits you, everyone will get the point that, "
