"Who... Are... You?" I asked. "I'm May," she answered. She was beautiful. Her long blonde hair was swept in front of her face. Her eyes were dark blue, like the sea. She was about the same size as me, maybe a little smaller. The way she talked was amazing too. I stood there taking her in until Alex nudged me in the chest.
"Oh, sorry. I'm James. and this is Alex, Beth and Dani." "Hi," they all said in unison. "We're all survivors of the explosion, we all have powers... Do you?" I asked curiously. "Yea, I regenerate," she answered quietly.
"Are you lost?" Dani asked. "Sort of," May said, "but you don't need to help, you don't need to waste your time on me,"
"No no no, it's fine. We'd be happy to have you!" I told her. She smiled. It was amazing!
We walked her over to the camp and me and Alex put up her tent. She looked shaken while she was waiting, there was something wrong with her.
That night when I was in the tent with Alex he asked, "You like her, don't you!" "Is it that obvious?" I asked, worried. "No, I can just feel it," he whispered.
He went to sleep but I was up all night, just thinking about her...
