The next time I woke up I was in a big square room. The ceiling was high enough for me to stretch my wings. It had been ages since I had flied so it was nice to be able to. I launched myself into the air and flew in circles. Every so often I would do a little loop as well.
After what felt like hours a door to my left opened and May walked in.
"I've been watching you for a while," she said. "I wish I had wings too."
I shot her a glare and jumped into the air again.
May stayed in the room for another while and all the time I was thinking, Tell her you like her! Tell her that when the others come for you, you'll take her with you! I never plucked up enough courage to tell her, but I had a feeling she was lying anyway.
I landed, closed the door and sat down in front of her.
"Why are you really here?" I asked.
"I told you, the Director killed..."
"SHUT UP!" I interrupted.
She looked shocked.
"Tell me why you're really here NOW, or when my friends come to get me out, I'll get Alex to..." I said.
"That's the thing though!" She butted in.
"What?"
"They can't get you out!"
