"Y/n? What are you doing out here?- It's freezing!" Patton came outside and saw me crying, bending down and sitting next to me "What's wrong?" I kept quiet. I held tighter onto my strands of hair and started to choke on my tears, the burning liquid falling down my cheeks and onto the concrete which stained them. "D- .. Do you miss them?" Patton asked me "The dark sides, I mean?" I nodded my head hesitantly. "You know you're our best friend, right?" I nod again "And you know that I can never ever say no to you, right?" Patton said as he too started to cry.

"W-Why do you say that?.." I wipe my tears which still continue to fall "I just want you to be happy and if it's not here with us then I want you to be where you are happy- even if it's with them.." Patton puts a hand on mine and pulls me into a hug "I'll take you home." Patton tells me as he pulls away and stands up. "R-.. Really?" Patton nods "I trust you, and if you're happy around them than maybe they aren't as bad as we think.. I'll help you" I stand up instantly and hug him again "You're the bestest friend I could ever ask for!" I cry as I squeeze him joyfully. "And- as much as I love him as my own.. I- I have to take.. Vi-Virgil back too...." he looks to the ground and starts crying harder.

"Don't I?"

"We aren't gonna be leaving forever, Patton. You'll still be able to see us at times." I wipe his tears away and smile at him "Than let's go before anyone wakes up." He says bravely before grabbing onto my hand and pulling me inside to Virgil's room. I knocked gently as to make no noise "yeah?" Virgil opened the door slightly, his pale and darkened figure stood behind the creaking wood. Virgil's purple hair was sprawled all over his face, sticking to his cheeks like he had been crying too. "I'm taking you guys back to the dark side." Patton whispered "The others." Virgil corrected "Yeah." Patton's voice broke as he thought about us. Virgil didn't believe it "You're not- are you?" Patton nodded as he bit onto his finger "For you guys, my best friends, my family.. I'd do anything for you guys" Patton croaked. Virgil in an instant- threw open the door and jumped on Patton, hugging him tightly "Thanks, pops" 

The interaction between the two seemed like one of those inspirational movies that'd have you crying for weeks, I was so moved. I never would have expected Patton to be the one to take us home, I was expecting to be picked up or something. I was really confused but also really touched, Patton had trusted us enough to let us go back to the dark side. "Y/n, grab onto my hand." Patton held his hand out to me as he held onto Virgil's shoulders. I gripped onto his hand and closed my eyes, appearing in the same familiar world "I don't know how to get to the other side- but I'll still make sure you're okay on your way there." I didn't think he wanted to leave us. As much as he had to, and knew he had to, I don't think he wanted to leave his children behind again.

Hand in hand, the three of us walked in a diagonal line onto a stray path which brought us to a cold wonderland. Snow fell from the sky and covered the gravel on the ground, the trees turning and twisting with the high winds. "It's f-f-free- eA! Freezing! In here!" Virgil held onto his jacket with his free hand and pulled it closer to his body. "Look! Light!" I called out, pointing int eh direction between the hills. Patton walked us over to the light, seeing Remus huddled on the ground asleep with a little fire in front of him to keep his body warm. "This is your stop.." Patton let go of our hands and stepped away from us "I don't want to leave but If I stay any longer than my heart will be broken again- Please visit?" He looked to the both of us "Always" Virgil replied sincerely "We love you." I reassured him.

"Y/n! Virgil!" Remus sat up. I turned from Patton, to Remus and then back to Patton only to see his figure disappearing through the snow. "Remus.." I muttered "Remus!" Virgil cheered "I missed you guys, thought you both might've pulled a fast one on us again." Remus chuckled "Haha, yeah." Virgil joined in laughing and I was going too when it hit me "Wait- both of us? Again??" I questioned "uh oh. Does she not know?" Remus covered his mouth and looked to Virgil, whispering breathlessly to him "Know what?" I looked confused. "Y/n..."

"We shouldn't talk here, not with the brayns." Remus stood up "Brains?" He shook his head "Brayns- Big ridiculously annoying yappy nasty snakes. Their bite could freeze your blood stream" Virgil started to shake anxiously "they're not here in this part of the forest- are they?" Virgil asked "W-well, yes b-but- Deceit was meant to take them out" Remus told us both "Just follow me, it'll be fine." Remus then started marching with us following behind cautiously. 

Right when he walked into a hole, us falling in right after him. Remus took a match and lit it on his puffed sleeves. My eyes widened and I spoke slowly "Don't make a sound." I whispered. Virgil and I backed away quietly "WHAT??" Remus asks as he moves his hair from his ear "Shit!" A bunch of snakes begin to wake up "RUN!" Virgil calls out to us, "Really? I was thinking of having a snack about now." Remus jokes around as he joins us "How do we get out of here? Remus- you're creativity!" I ask "U-uh... A HUGE BUTTHOLE?? Uh- Virgil, you've got to of made a plan in your head with all that anxiety!" Remus screams as he pulls himself onto a rock "Um... Yes.. But there's too many things to go wrong with it! it wouldn't work- its a death trap! I don't want you guys to get hurt and-" Remus shuts him up with a finger to the lips "TLDR, Y/n just jumped on one of the snakes." Virgil turns his head around and sees me.

"AHHHH!" I scream as the snake launches me into the air and out of the hole "Smart moves!" Remus says as he takes a hold on Virgil's torso and jumps onto another irritated snake, sending them flying out of the hole. "Not the first hole I've gotten stuck in" Remus snickers "Y/n?" I turn around at hearing my name being called out and I see..

"Deceit??" 

I run over to him, holding onto his shoulders and pulling him close to me. His head rests on my shoulder, his hand wrapping around my waist "I missed you." Deceit whispers to me quietly.
