Carmen's POV
"Great. Just great." I groaned, seeing the whole class filled with guys and no Lindsey.
She hadn't taken up alignment and surface phenomena as one of her subjects.
"Come on, girl. Don't worry, I'll be there to annoy you. All the time, yeah?" Dan tried his best to cheer me up, but succeeded very little.
The looks everyone was giving me gave me chills down my spine and made me weak in the knees. Some of the guys were kind enough to smile at me and greet me while the others literally raked my whole body and it looked like they were going to eat me up anytime.
Just thinking about it horrified me. Dan pulled me through the class and we took our seats and I sighed a breath of relief. Speaking to my brother Phoenix about it, it made me feel better the other day but the situation didn't get any better.
It was taking a lot of time for me to accept the fact that it was a male dominated class. I pitied Dan because he had to put up with so much of my whining and groaning.
From what I had observed, Dan was a very patient person and handled all the situations well. He always pushed me through the day and never once left me alone.
Just when I was recovering from the same old trauma I'd had for the past three days of college, a bad ass looking guy entered the class and walked straight up to the empty seat next to mine.
I didn't have a reason to be intimidated by him, considering the fact that Dan was there beside me.
"This seat's taken?" He asked me, looking straight into my eye.
He looked a little taller than Dan and had pitch black hair, stormy grey eyes and a smirk on his lips which gave off the bas ass vibe.
I shook my head to which he took that seat and constantly stared at me, making it hard for me to concentrate on the lecture.
He was so shamelessly staring at me. It was kind of distracting.
"You want something?" I suddenly turned to him and shot the question.
"Ooh, a feisty one. I like it." He smirked. Again.
After that, I didn't reply so he gave me some peace to concentrate on the lecture.
The bell rang, causing a smile to make its way to my face as I packed my bag, since the next hour was free and it was followed by back to back classes.
"If I wanted you, would you give it to me?" I heard him say.
I turned to him with my eyebrows raised.
"You wish." I brushed it off and subtly stopped Dan who was getting ready to pounce on him.
"Is that a yes?" He had the balls to ask.
"Nah, I've seen better." I smirked.
Wow, I'm on fire.
"Which part have you seen better?" He asked and I couldn't control my laughter because it was such a lame comeback.
Seeing me burst out laughing, he burst out as well, sharing a good laughter. On the other hand, Dan was face palming himself and groaned, wondering why he was stuck there.
"Flint Miller." He introduced himself once he calmed down and extended his hand.
"Carmen Rey." I shook his hand and introduced myself and allowing Dan to meet him as well.
"I was just having fun, please don't mistake me." He said, referring to the 'flirting' he did few minutes ago.
"Its all cool, no worries." I assured him.
