"Remind me again, Eloise, why did you marry this good-for-nothing brother of mine?" I asked my sister-in-law in a very bored tone.

It had been four months since my brother Phoenix and his fiancé Eloise had gotten married. Their wedding was a very memorable one. Even the Waylon Scientists had made it to their wedding and we spent some quality time together. All in all, their wedding got our families and friends to come under one roof and bond.

"I ask myself the same question everyday, Carmen. Every single day." She replied.

"Hey! You both better don't gang up on me, okay? The consequences are going to be very brutal." Phoenix, my brother warned us.

We were sitting on the couch in the living room. Phoenix wasn't included in the equation since he was stretched out on the floor and acted like his arms and legs did not belong to him at all.

"Oh, really? You squealed like a little kid when I threw a fake snake at you and we should be scared about the consequences we'll be facing because we ganged up against you? Nah. Like I told you before, you're good-for-nothing, Phoenix." I told him.

Hearing my reply, Eloise was amused.

"Where were you when I needed you the most? I swear you're the only one who can shut him up." She told me.

"Are you serious, Eloise? You, you of all people don't know what I'm capable of?" He asked her, smirking at her.

Oh. Oh. Oh.

I didn't want to know that part of his life or any of the bedroom scenes he was referring to.

"Keep your bedroom capabilities between the both of you and restricted to your bedroom and your bedroom only. Please! I don't want to know any of it." I groaned.

I looked at Eloise to see her already red.Oh no..please. Not in the living room atleast.

"Pardon me, but you've seriously mistaken me for someone who gives a damn." He told me and smirked at Eloise who was totally speechless.

Before I replied, he cut me off.

"Are you always this chatty or is today a special occasion?" He asked me, reaching for my leg to pull me down with him.

I rolled my eyes.

"You know what? You should roll your eyes more often because I hope that at least you'll find some content in that part of your brain." He replied.

I shot him a dry look.

"Oh wait, you don't even have a brain. There's a void in your skull." He said and laughed at his own statement.

Eloise was enjoying our comebacks. I could see it on her face. She was secretly giggling listening to us.

"You know, brains aren't everything. In your case, its nothing. Stop trying to be a smart ass. You're just an ass." I said and he pouted.

"Such a drama queen!" Eloise finally blurted and burst out laughing.

"At least I make people laugh." I mumbled, looking at him.

"Nobody can help but laugh when they see your face." Phoenix stated and sat up.

His Australian accent was something that I couldn't get enough of. But I wasn't going to admit it to that idiot's face.

"Keep talking, Phoenix. Some day, you might say something intelligent." I replied.

"Alright, alright. Lets do something productive for the day." Eloise interrupted us.
