I woke up sweaty and confused.
I was immediately aware of where I was. I remembered not putting up a fight when Jimin insisted I stay the night, and how he had held my hand before I drifted off to sleep.
What I couldn't figure out was how Jimin found his sleeping position comfortable.
Somehow, whether intentional or not, he had managed to mold himself to my torso.
Jimin's face was nestled against my right breast, his ear in my armpit. One of his legs was draped low over my waist and putting just enough pressure on my bladder to make me very uncomfortable. His arm was flung over my rib cage and I was effectively pinned in place.
While I didn't particularly mind him being on top of me, in fact, under different circumstances I would have found it quite exciting. But he was hot. Like the human embodiment of fire. Granted, I wasn't used to wearing pants to sleep, let alone sweatpants, and they were not helping matters.
The pressure on my bladder had been the straw that broke the camel's back.
He's so cute when he's sleeping, but I really have to pee. I'm sorry, Jimin.
Carefully, I began to extract myself from Jimin's clutches. Shifting his arm and then slowly removing his leg, I tried to roll Jimin onto his back without waking him. He let out a small whimper as I moved his head away from my chest. I held back the urge to coo at how adorable he sounded pouting in his sleep.
Once free, I slipped from the bed and into the bathroom.
The tile floors in the bathroom felt like heaven and quickly helped me cool down.
While washing my hands, I caught my reflection in the mirror.
Great. I look like a raccoon.
My mascara and eyeliner had smudged in large circles around both of my eyes. It almost looked like I was wearing a mask.
A quick search of the cabinets produced a bottle of body lotion and some tissues which I used to remove the remnants of my makeup.
After shutting off the light, I stayed in the bathroom for a minute and let my eyes adjust to the darkness, not wanting to trip over something and wake Jimin.
I crept back to the bed but hesitated before climbing back in, debating about whether or not to shed the sweatpants I was wearing.
Screw it. He's already seen me naked.
I shimmied out of the pants and left them in a heap on the floor next to the bed. The t-shirt I had on was long enough that it covered most of my butt, and that was good enough for me.
Slowly, I tried to slip back into bed without too much movement.
"What took you so long?" Jimin asked groggily. He scooted closer and pulled me onto my side to face him. His hand trailed down my hip, stopping abruptly at the hem of the shirt when his fingertips brushed my bare skin.
"I took off the pants. It was too hot," I spat out, slightly panicked, not wanting him to get the wrong idea.
My words seemed to cause both of us to freeze for a few heartbeats.
The whoosh of air escaping Jimin's lungs was the only sound.
"W-wha? O-oh. Oh," Jimin stuttered and lifted his hand slightly, it barely hovered above my hip before he retracted it completely. "That's okay."
I bit my lower lip to keep from chuckling. Reaching blindly in front of me, I found Jimin's cheek and softly caressed it before leaning forward to plant a kiss on his forehead.
"You're cute," I whispered before rolling onto my other side, my back to Jimin.
Reaching behind my back, I found Jimin's hand and tugged, urging him to scoot closer. He wrapped his arm around me, tucking his hand between my hip and the mattress, and pulled me back until I was firmly pressed against his chest.
He nuzzled his face into the back of my neck. "I thought you were too hot?" he asked sleepily.
"I was. I took care of it so we could cuddle." I shifted a little to make myself more comfortable. Jimin sighed, his warm breath tickled my neck.
"Good."
