"Holy sh- that was... how?" I stumbled over my words as they flew out my mouth. 

Jungkook, puffed up with pride, smiled at me. "I practice." 

A thought struck me and I narrowed my eyes at scary bunny hybrid. "Have you done that to me?" 

"Made you sleep?" Jungkook's eyes were the size of saucers and filled with shock. "No, of course not! I've never hypnotized you." 

He blinked a few times while I continued to stare him down and tried to determine if he was telling the truth. 

"I-I mean, I thought about it in the woods the other night. But you were already passed out, and then Jimin knocked me out," he quietly trailed off. 

Jimin cleared his throat and stood up from the table. "Anyway, Y/n's brother is in the living room. Hyukmin put him under, but we thought it would be better if you woke him up, Kook," he said, giving Jungkook a friendly slap on the shoulder. 

Jungkook winced, but nodded and followed Jimin into the living room. 

Hoseok lingered in the kitchen, looking for something to eat. "Where did everyone go?" He asked while rummaging through the fridge. 

"Jin and Namjoon-hyung are at their parents' houses, and Hyukmin-hyung and Sarah both left because Jimin's uncle's guys are coming over to get Roxy," Taehyung rattled off. He gently picked up one of Roxy's wrists, then let her arm drop to the table with a thud. A small chuckle escaped his lips. When he saw I had been watching him, he blushed. "I just wanted to make sure." 

I shrugged my shoulders and started to stand up and clear the table. 

"Oh, don't worry, I got it!" Taehyung jumped up and gathered the empty bowls. 

Hoseok took a seat across from Roxy. He had given up on his quest for lunch, and settled for a protein drink and a banana. With a heavy sigh, he peeled the banana and took a bite. 

"Long day?" I asked. 

"Mmmhmm," he hummed as he chewed. 

"Where did you and Jungkook go?" 

Hoseok swallowed and took a sip of his protein drink. "We were checking on a lead." 

"Mostly, we were just waiting around until we got a lead. Yoongi was checking up on Roxy's bank account and trying to track down the payment she received," Jungkook added as he walked into the dinning room, Sehyun and Jimin trailing closely behind. All three men sat down at the table and Taehyung joined shortly after. 

"Did you look into Jaehyun?" Sehyun asked, glancing around at the other men while making an effort to ignore the passed out woman seated next to him. 

Jungkook and Hoseok exchanged a look. "We did," Hoseok replied simply. 

"And?" Sehyun pressed. 

As if on queue, the doorbell rang, and Jungkook sprang out of his chair and ran to answer the door. 

For someone who looked so exhausted a few minutes ago, he has a lot of energy. 

Jimin stood up and motioned for Taehyung to help him pick up Roxy. With her arms slung over their shoulders, the two men dragged the unconsciousness woman to the front of the house. 

Under the assumption that I would just be in the way for the hand off of the novice hitwoman, I opted to just stay seated at the dinning table. 

Is it bad that I'm becoming a bit jaded?  

Meh. Whatever. 

I glanced over to Sehyun who was sitting up straight, clearly uncomfortable. 

"So, you really didn't tell anyone that we ran into each other the other day?" 

His eyes shot up to meet mine as he let out a dry laugh. "I said I wouldn't. But, thanks for telling Daehyun. Now he thinks I'm keeping things from him." 

"Aren't you?" 

"Of course I am," he said, and a smile slowly spread across his face. 

Taking a guess, I asked, "Is it because of Sumi?" 

He nodded. "I don't trust her. I think she might be a sociopath." 

"Yes!" I hit the table out of excitement. "I thought something was off about her!" 

Hoseok snorted and took a final swig of his protein drink before setting the empty bottle on the table. "She was very creepy." 

"Why did you leave me alone with her then?" 

"That was Jimin and Taehyung," Hoseok said, raising his hands in surrender while biting back a smile. 

"You guys left me alone with her, too," Taehyung said as he, Jimin, and Jungkook reappeared. "And you left me alone with Roxy. Please stop leaving me alone with crazy women."
