Catalina
"Mommy!"
I was pulled back from my thoughts by the sound of Adelaide squealing as she entered into my room, quickly taking an appreciative glance at my room, she pulled me into hers. Unknowingly, I collide into him.
"I'm sorry." He placed his hands on my shoulders, steadying me to my feet. This situation somehow appeared very funny to Adelaide, as she broke into fits of laughter.
"Wha-what's so funny, baby?" I brushed a strand of hair behind, trying to hide the blush that was creeping its way up my cheeks.
"This happens in movies!" She giggled. "Look at my room."
I smiled looking at the perfectly decorated room, all her favourite characters enclosed in it. From Disney to Barbie dolls and everything in between. All these years, I strived to give this to her, but all I could give her was the Princess' Bedsheet and wall decoration.
"It is beautiful, Ade."
"Thanks..." I heared Alexander mutter close to me, which I expertly ignored, picking Adelaide up in my arms.
"You thanked him for this?" I asked in a hushed voice.
"Yes! The dresses too."
"Good."
"You don't need to thank me for the dresses." Alex shrugged, walking to us with his hands balled in the pocket of his pants. "You'll be getting several of those by the evening."
"What?" We asked in unison.
"Yep. I got some dresses ordered for you."
"Thank you Daddy! You're the best!" And, she squealed yet again.
"I told you not to thank me." He patted her head affectionately and I tried not to 'aww' out loud.
"Alexander...you should not sp-"
"Don't tell me what I need to do. You've done this all these years, now it's my chance."
I knew I would not get anywhere trying to prove a point to him, so I huffed and placed Adelaide back to her feet and left the duo alone, going to my room to unpack.
I entered into my room and started with the orgainising. Fishing the laptop out of its bag, I kept it on the table they'd arranged at one side, along with some other stationary items. As I started to go for the clothes, the man I least want to stay close to opened the door and cockily entered inside, not caring about my privacy.
"What now?" I stopped zipping open the suitcase.
"Nothin'." He comfortably flopped down on the bed and shrugged. "Thought you would prefer some company."
As much as I would love this company, I shouldn't.
"Shouldn't you be giving company to Adelaide?" I asked, zipping open the suitcase reluctantly.
"She's busy seeing through her soft toys."
"Alex! You shouldn't-"
"Not again. Just do your unpacking." As soon as I opened up the lid, he peered into the suitcase as if it would contain some sort of treasure.
And of course, at that damn moment, there had to be something embarrassing. My black lacy pair of undergarments shone at us right at the top. I feigned cough at the sight. His attitude, on the contrary was totally different.
"Trying to please someone, are we?" He cocked his head to a side, smirking.
For a second, I too almost smirked, looking for an idea to maybe get him jealous, but then I realised that all this would not even make sense. And why would I want to do that? So, I dropped the idea instantly.
"I don't need to please someone else. I please myself." I smiled boldly taking the pair and folding it to keep along with the other undergarments.
"I will talk to you...later. Adelaide might be looking for me."
How many more embarrassing moments will I face before all of this ends?

Alexander
Who gave her the right to be so appealing?
She's going to be the death of me, Catalina. How can she just flash those...those things at me and expect me to not feel attracted? Of course, I'm an engaged man, I have responsibilities but she...she has this effect on me that...I can't even define. Just one look at her holding the lingerie and my filthy brain had already imagined her body in them.
Before I could enter Adelaide's room to go spend some time with her, I was stopped short by the sound of Hannah.
"Alexander."
I again cringed when she called me by my full name. I don't know why, but I'm just not comfortable with people calling me by my full name. Maybe it's because most of them call me 'Alex' maybe it's something else. I don't know...it's weird. But then, there is Catalina. Ever since the night-our one night stand-I've loved the sound of my full name from her lips.
"Hey Hannah..."
"You were going somewhere?"
"Nothing special. Erm...can you please do me a favour?" Her eyes glinted as soon as she heard that I needed her help.
"Yes, sure."
"Can you please call me Alex instead?"
"Sure...but what's wrong with Alexander?"
"I-I don't know...everyone calls me Alex so the sound of-"
"Oh...alright. I'll call you Alex." She rolled her eyes. We heard the sound of the main door open, my parents were here. She quickly made her way downstairs, to please them more each passing day.
"Ade?" I called out from the door.
"Yes?" She came out holding a stuffed bunny.
"Come...You gotta meet someone."
"Who?"
"Just come, baby." I picked her up in my arms quickly. "Let's tell your Mommy as well, huh?"
Instead of barging into her room this time I decided to call out from outside. I don't want to put us in any more awkward situations. I felt heat rising up my body just by remembering the tension we had felt a few seconds ago.
"Catalina?"
"Y-yes?" I heard a startled voice.
"My parents are here...if you would like to...meet."
"Sure. I'll be down in a minute."
"Come sweetie. Let's go downstairs till then."
"Who are we going to?"
"Your grandparents. My Mom and Dad."
"Oh...just like grandma Scarlett and Grandpa Greg are Mommy's Mom and Dad."
"Yep. Just like that."
Let's hope they respond to this well.
