CatalinaI woke up to the sound of banging on my door. Startled, I got up from the bed and ran towards it. On opening the door, I found a grinning Adelaide looking up at me with a box in her hands.
"Baby...How are you up so early? And you've taken a bath as well?"
"Yes...Hannah helped me." She barged inside the room. "Look, Daddy got me this dress!"
"For the party?" I rolled my eyes. I mean, has the guy lost all his senses? The party is all about announcing his engagement to Hannah. Why should we even be a part of it?
"Yes! Look."
She opened the box to reveal a black tutu dress covered in sequins.
"That's a cute dress." I smiled at her.
"Your dress will come soon too." She said, closing the box back.
Why, Alexander, why?
"Oh...great."
"Adelaide?" Just as his thought had crossed my mind, he stood at the doorway, leaning against the doorframe.
"Yes, Daddy?"
"Your grandmother is looking for you. Somethin' about breakfast."
"Oh yes!" She facepalmed. "I'll go."
With quick steps, she left to have her breakfast and her seat was then replaced by Alex, holding a bigger box than the one Adelaide had been holding.
"Alex-"
"You look...beautiful."
Where did that come from?
"I'm sorry but this out of everything is not the time to talk about how beautiful I look. And I've just woken up, what do you even mean by beautiful?"
"Shh...shut up and just take this dress."
"Excuse me, Alexander Wilson. You are not the boss of me. Why do you think would I take the dress? You can't order me around."
"Will you ever stop quaralling? Do it for Ade at least. I want to see both of yo-"
He stopped mid-sentence and broke I contact, looking at the direction of the door. I turned around to find Hannah standing with a stern look and a fake smile on her face.
"Oh Hannah, why are you standing there? Come in."
"Sure." Striding her confident walk, she stood at the edge of the bed and wrapped her hands across Alexander's shoulders, as if instructing me that he belong to her.
"You've received your dress, I guess." Her smile widened, still not reaching her eyes.
"Y-yes, thanks for that."
"Why even thank me? It's Alex who cares about you, right?"
"Erm..." What could I even reply to that. Looking in his direction, I found him busy studying his palm.
"Never mind. Just get ready by six. We've arranged the driver." Her eyes softened as she looked at Alex. "Alex...will you please come with me? I just need to show you the dress once."
"O-okay...yeah, sure."
Jesus, please save me from her tonight.

Alexander
"You like this?" She twirled around in the strapless bodycon dress and I tried my best smile.
"It's beautiful...you're beautiful." Of course she was beautiful, but not...Catalina beautiful.
"Listen now, Alex." The clipped voice was back, the one she uses when she is about to lecture me about Catalina.
"Yes?"
"Now that we have invited Adelaide..."
"And Catalina."
"I know. Catalina is not the problem write now."
I wanted to tell her that Catalina was never the problem, nor was Adelaide but I kept my mouth shut because if I ruined her mood right now, I would have to suffer for the entire day.
"So?"
"Adelaide thinks we are friends. She thinks you two are...I don't know...together? So, we can't-"
"I know, Hannah. I'll have somebody to take her before...the announcement is made."
"Oh, great! Thank you so much."
"There's no need to thank me." I'm doing it for Adelaide.
"Yeah...okay. Just make sure-"
"I'll make sure of everything, Hannah. I'll leave you to change."
I was aware that I was about to lose my temper so I decided to turn around and leave instead. Outside, I found Adelaide and my mood changed instantly.

Hannah
I expertly ignored the coldness in his voice as he left me and continued to change into my casual clothes. I'm sort of getting used to it now. I just need to say anything against Catalina and his voice would turn stern. But right now, I don't care. I've got better work to do than think about him. I would rather prepare for the day, there's so much to do anyways.
As I walked out of my room and walked through the hallway, I came across something that I've grown used to coming across. Alex stood holding Adelaide in his arms and would throw her in the air, then catch her back while Catalina watched them grinning. And that's how I started feeling the same emotions over again, developing inside me like a raging fire making me feel inflamed.
"Hello there..." I put up the signature smile and interrupted them nonchalantly.
"Hello, Hannah." Adelaide and Catalina chirped in their innocent voices while Alex remained mute.
"So, how was your day?" I looked at Hannah, trying my best to be the good one and develop her interest. I know that if I'm good to the kid, Alex would be good to me.
"Great! Daddy bought us dresses."
"He did, didn't he?" The fake smile widened and I felt my ears ringing.
"They're beautiful. We have matching black ones. Black is Mommy's favourite."
"It is?" I placed my hand on the small of her back which Alex smoothly sweeped away, turning in the other direction.
"So, Catalina, all set for the evening?" The smile turned into a smirk as I turned to the opponent.
"Yes, I am. It's just a party." She waved a hand.
"Yeah...just a party. You need any help with anything?"
"Nope. I'm great." Alex kept swaying Adelaide making her giggle, trying to avoid the awkwardness of the situation.
"So, are you all set?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Huh?"
"Are you ready for the party?"
"Oh, yes I am." My lips curved into a perceptive smile.

A/N : Boo! All three character's PoVs in a single chapter. I don't know why I'm suddenly being slow with this book's updates. I'm just not feeling the push I need and I don't wish to write rubbish. So, I'd rather do slow but better updates. Hope you prefer the same.
