The Cowboy and the Indian
The week had been going by slowly. Comfortably. My teachers seemed relaxed and relieved for the upcoming holiday. That's right Halloween was this Friday! I was more then excited. Kyle was throwing a party!!! I didn't really know him that well, but he seemed pretty cool.
"I heard everyone's going!" Jenni squealed as we made our way out of the school. I had made plans with her to head to party city to pick out a costume to wear. It was already Thursday and I still didn't have a costume to wear to the party. I was worried that all the good costumes would be taken. We both got into her car and headed off to the costume store.
As we opened the door a few crazy kids wearing weird masks ran past us. The whole store was covered in cool, funny, or scary decorations. We quickly made our way to the immense costume section. There were so many things to choose from. I had already put some thoughts into what I wanted to dress up as. I made my way over to the adult tribal Indian costumes, while Jenni went through the many piles of fairy costumes.
I looked over my choices quickly. There wasn't much to choose from though. I should have went out to get a costume earlier!!! I quickly picked up the 3 best looking costumes, but they all started with sexy which made me wary. Jenni had already found her dream costume with matching accessories. She had picked out a intricate white and blue sparkly dress with sparkly blue wedges.
"Hurry go try those on! We don't have much time." Jenni said as she pushed me into the dressing room. Apparently she was babysitting her little siblings tonight so she didn't have to babysit them on Halloween.
I slipped into the first costume which was way to big and baggy. Not even a pro seamstress could fix this mess. I then took that off and squeezed into a skimpy costume it was way way way too showy for my taste. With the plunging neckline that went to my belly button and the cloth barley covered my butt. I quickly through that off disgusted at the idea of someone actually wearing that in public. I took out the last costume I had picked out. Jenni kept complaining about how I needed to hurry up.
I pulled on the costume. It fit pretty well, but it was tight. I felt it showed my curves and all though it looked good, it also looked sexy and that look made me squirm a bit. I went out of the dressing room to look at it in the large mirror.
Once I stepped out I got Jenni's approval, which sounded more like loud squeals of how cute it was. I looked in the mirror and realized it was a little more revealing then I would have liked. The dress was was a tan brown color with fringe on the end. It goes to about mid-thigh with a bit of a sweetheart neckline it had turquoise accents which brought out my blue eyes. Although I was a bit unsure if it was appropriate, it really showed off my curves and I wouldn't normally approve, but Jenni kept begging me to buy it so we could leave. So that's what I did.

Friday came and a group of us consisting of Jenni, Piper, Hannah, and I decided to get ready at Hannah's house. We were all hanging out in her room which was pretty cool. She had a swinging bed and a large walk-in closet. Piper and Jenni sat on the bed doing each others nails while Hannah attempted to curl my flat hair.
"It's impossible!" I exclaimed to her as she attempted to curl a piece of hair that had already uncurled.
"This will work I swear" she said as she brought out another hair contraption that I was sure would scorch my hair.
After a lengthy hour and a half there were actually beautiful curls in my normally flat hair.
"Thank God!" Hannah said as she fixed the Indian headband to my head and finished up. Hannah then jumped onto the leather couch next to her bed. "That was exhausting" she murmured with her face in the couch. I just laughed and thanked her. I decided to do my own make up because I do not trust these spazzy girls with a pencil next to my eyes...
