"Wake up, Ka'Lani." My mom said softly, "It's time to go to your friend's grandma's house." I said rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, "It's too early." My mom said leaving my room, "Well their grandma's house is a few hours away. So get ready and meet me downstairs." I rolled my eyes as I got up. Before going to my closet, I grabbed my mask and put it on. (Mask above) I then went to my closet and got a black shirt, a blue hoodie, black jeans, and shoes. I stomped downstairs smelling my mom's cooking. "I see your luggage in the living room, " My mom said, "you must of packed last night." I smartly replied, "Well I don't know why else it would be there." My mom mumbled, "No need to be rude." After my mom put or plates in front of us, we had an uncomfortable silence until my mom broke it, "So... I bet you're so excited that you can't breathe, right?!" "Sure..." I said in a sarcastic tone, "Let's just say that." "That's it, Ka'Lani!" My mom yelled putting down her fork, "You are going to their house and-" I continued her sentence, "and I better be nice and have fun." My mom said putting her hand on her head, "Just go get in the car." I said pointing at my food, "But I didn't-" My mom raised her voice again, "Just go!" I raised my hands in defense, going to the car.
(5 hours later)
Once we finally got to our destination, I could see my two friends running to our car, "Ka'Lani!!!" They exclaimed, "We're so glad to see you!" I responded with a frown under my mask, "I was forcefully brought here." My mom flicked my forehead saying, "Ka'Lani, be nice! Hey, Jessie and Jannie" I got out of the car to get my luggage from the trunk as they had a small conversation. When they finished, my mom said, "I love you, sweetie!" I turned around walking away, "I love me too!" I could see my mom frown as she drove away, I smiled at that. My friends ran to me once she left. Jessie said in disapproval, "That was very rude of you, Ka'Lani!" I said turning around to face her, "You have no permission to tell me what to do in me and my mom's relationship." Jannie asked trying to change the mood, "U-umm... Did you know that our grandma lives in a mansion?!" I said, "Yes, you told me in school." Jannie said with a smirk, "Well I bet you didn't know that she had 155 rooms!" "Really, Jannie?" Jessie asked annoyed, "You come here every summer and your this excited? Plus, there are 150 rooms."
"No..." Their grandma said coming outside, "There are 165 rooms, oh but don't worry you were close." Jessie said walking towards the door, "Let's just go inside..."
