"Well, Dad, I'll be going. The pups are probably waiting for me," Ryder said.
"Bye, Ryder. Tell the pups I said hello!" His dad told him.
"Ok! Bye!" Ryder said before he went out the door.

When he got to the lookout, he put away Chase's leash and said, "Pups! I'm home!"
Silence.
"Hello?" Ryder asked.
More silence.
"No. No, no, no, no. This can't be happening. They have to be hiding," He said to himself. He looked everywhere, and they were nowhere to be seen.
"I'll go check Katie's." He whispered.

Rubble whimpered. "He's not here..." he said.
"We have to keep looking!" Chase was determined.
"I looked everywhere! It's not like he's small enough to fit in a vent!" Marshall said.
"Fine, we can look somewhere else!" Chase said.
And they were off.

"Katie! Have you seen my pups?" Ryder said, making Katie flinch.
"Yeah, they were here a little while ago, but now they're not," Katie said.
"Oh..." Ryder said. "Where could they be?"
"I could help you look," Katie offered.
"YES! I can't do this alone!" Ryder shouted.
