The game finished after a few painfully long hours. It ended with Jeongukks team winning, nobody completely surprised (but still obviously not happy).
The losing team was a little bummed, but mostly angry that Jeon Jeongukk had to come into existence. Without his help, the team would still be good. However, they could have had a chance since their team wasn't far behind, #2 in the state.
They were getting lined up to shake the other teams hands, still salty about the outcome of the game.
"When it's my turn to shake his hand, I'm gonna pull it away real fast." Kang-min joked.
"Don't you think that's a little childish?" Bogum questioned, popping open his water bottle to take a sip.
Taehyung held in a laugh.
He didn't answer, as he went to get something from their duffle instead.
Later, Taehyung watched as it was that persons turn to shake Jeongukks hand in the line, rolling his eyes when they ended up actually shaking it instead of doing what they said.
When Taehyung reached out to shake the boys hand, the boy blushed. The blonde was a bit confused at his response, but quickly brushed it off, considering it was probably just because the weather was hot. Jeongukk patted him on the back before they passed each other, and told him that he did a good job.
"you did good too." Taehyung stated, he wasn't lying because..well, he did crush the hopes and dreams of some of his teammates.
When they were heading out, packing all their stuff up in the locker room, everyone gave Taehyung a confused stare.
"What?" He questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Why were you talking to Jeon?"
"What do you mean? I can't talk to him?"
Taehyung questioned the others tone of response. The way he said Jeons name sounded so hateful, like this whole thing wasn't just for a game. That he took the boys actions personally. Did everyone think that way?"You ca-
Bogum interjected before the angry quarterback could respond, "No you can." He said.
"It's just," He paused.
"people say Jeons bad news. Hwa probably just doesn't want you getting hurt." He finished, looking at the male in subject afterward. "Right?"
"And he's a shitty dude from our rival team. Who cares if he wasn't bad news, we shouldn't even interact with them unless we have to." Hwa answered loudly, completely missing Bogums point. Bogum pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing.
They all looked to Taehyung for his response.
The boy was tying his shoes.
"So.."
"Hwa, are you hungry?" Taehyung responded.
"You're kind of being annoying. Maybe we should go to Chilis after this." He suggested, the guys face was hard.
"I'm hungry." He added, finishing the tying of his left lace, before shoving his cleats into his bag.
"Taehyung i'm going to-" Hwa was interrupted before he could finish, by Bogum.
"Let's go eat!"
Everyone nodded in unison, finding themselves actually hungry as well.
"Shit. That would actually make me feel a lot better, my leg hurts like a bitch." Solomon laughed, as a few agreed.
As everyone began leaving, Bogum stayed behind.
"Well, are you coming?" He questioned, looking at Hwa directly. He was sulking in a corner.
"Yeah, whatever...fine."
