It was currently Saturday. Jeongukk may or may have not spend majority of the week freaking out over the fact that he was going to be spending an entire 3 hours with Kim Taehyung, the most beautiful person he's ever seen in his entire life. Not that he'd ever admit that to himself or let the confession establish itself into his brain—but still.
He found himself checking his calendar every now and then, just to see that little reminder with Taehyungs name on it. But I mean, that's not community why he was doing it. He was happy to help his community.
He finished his weekend morning practice, grimacing at the sweat that dripped down his face. He obviously couldn't go to the soup kitchen looking like he fell in a large puddle but he also remembers Hoseok telling him that the water would be shut off for a few hours, so he figured showering in the schools gross locker room would be the best option. For a rich school, they sure didn't know how to clean.
He approached Jackson, who had just finished up a conversation with their coach.
"Hey, do you have..shampoo or something?" He asked, coming to the conclusion that if anyone else on the team were some representation of the word clean it'd probably be him.
"Shampoo? Yeah bro!" He slapped Jeongukk on the back harshly and his initial reaction was to punch him in the arm, but then he remembered that he needed something from him so he just bared through it.
"Could I borrow it?"
...Jeongukk hopped off the bus, yawning as he clutched his backpack and his duffle.
He was convinced that someone pissed their pants in the bus, but he wasn't going complain too much because he was congested and the smell wasn't able to make it past his nostrils.
He walked for a few minutes, before stepping foot on the premises.
He took a breath in. It was like being hit with a wave of nostalgia, the memories flooding back into his mind without permission.
But he stepped in, taking a look around the room before making eye contact with Taehyung, who was currently crouched like a dog underneath a table.
"Oh, Jeongukk!" He greeted happily, sitting up so fast that he ended up smacking the top of his head against the ceiling of the table harshly.
Jeongukk winced, before making his way toward the other. Taehyung stood up, rubbing his head with a frown.
"Are you okay?" Jeongukk asked, but the blonde just smiled and giggled softly, making a face as if he were mocking his own clumsiness.
It was really cute, and Jeongukk was convinced that Taehyung was going to kill him sometime soon.
He was snapped out his thoughts by Taehyung pinching his cheek. "You're cheeks are all red!" He announced, "—so cute!" He basically squealed, while Jeongukk only turned redder in response, making the situation even worse.
If only he knew that he was the cause of it, maybe he'd stop.
The teasing was cut short when the door opened once again, this time with a woman holding a large container of soybean sprouts.
She was very obviously struggling as her face was smashed into the side of it. "Help me!"
Jeongukk quickly ran over, putting the container on a nearby table.
When he turned around the woman had her hands on her knees, wiping the sweat away from her head with a cupped hand.
"That was only the first container." She huffed, leaning on the table beside her.
...Jeongukk walked to the van to retrieve the rest of the food and materials, only to be met with Jimin laying in the back seat with his headphones on.
"Ahh-shit!" He cursed, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. "You scared me."
Jeongukk just stared at him for a few seconds, before moving to the back to grab more things. Jimin stretches, turning around to talk to jeongukk through the space in the trunk.
"So, how are things with you and Taehyungie?" He asked, making a bunch of suggestive eyebrow waves.
"What are you talking about?" Jeongukk asks. There was most definitely nothing between them besides the awkward atmosphere once he stupidly blushes for the millionth time.
"You know what I'm talking about." He produces some oddly timed kissing noises, and frowns once he noticed Jeongukk wasn't listening.
"Fine! Be like that."
When he doesn't respond once again, Jimin begins rambling. "Hey! Stop ignoring me you punk! I mean.." he trailed off. "Wait how old are you?"
Jeongukk just continues instead of responding audibly.
"18?"
Nothing."17?"
Nothing."16?"
Jeongukk doesn't say anything, mostly because he isn't paying attention, but he looks up. It must've been bad timing because Jimin gasps."Sixteen? You're sixteen?"
The brunette furrows his eyebrows. "Huh?"
How did he know?"I'm your Hyung?" Jimin asked loudly, chuckling as he cheered, flinging himself backward.
Jeongukk rolled his eyes. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't like it very much.
"I can call you a punk all I want then! Punk! Punk! Pu—"
"Ow!" He winced loudly as the woman from earlier whacked him in the back of his head with a fly swatter.
"Jimin, what the hell are you doing?! Help, you idiot!" She scolded him, and he scrambled to get up and simultaneously groaned in pain.
"Eomma! That hurt!" He whined.
"It hurt? I'll give you something that'll hurt!" She yelled through the passengers seat, and Jimin shut up quickly.
Jeongukk smiled.
"what are you smiling about?" Jimin lowered his eyebrows. "Punk."
He only rolled his eyes, picking up four more containers to walk inside the soup kitchen.
"Yeah, you better run away!" Jimin announced loudly, sticking his head through the trunk.
He kept walking, but let the corners of his mouth lift up when he heard his mom yelling again.
...Stay safe guys:)
