He grabbed her wrist and checked for her pulse, it was there, but very faint. Bruce was getting very terrified by the second. He couldn't lose her again, if he did he couldn't live with himself.

Bruce's POV:

"Natasha? Natasha, c'mon wake up! Natasha!", I say as I see her slowing closing her eyes due to weakness. From the corner of my eye, I see Rhodes calling an ambulance.

AT THE HOSPITAL . . .

Natasha is in the operation theatre. It's been 10 minutes since the operation started but it seems like it's been an hour. I'm so worried about her. If something happens to her, I won't be able to live.

"Dr. Banner? The patient has lost a lot of blood. We need to give her blood. But the problem is her blood group is AB-, which is the very rare. Someone has to donate her blood.", the doctor says. That's when my heart rate rises due to horror. I keep thinking what should I do. I was terrified. All of a sudden, I remember that my blood group is AB- . I immediately tell the doctor that I'll be donating the blood. I keep going with the doctor to start the process. I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see Rhodes. "Are you out of your mind? You're about to donate blood. You know that's dangerous." "There is no other choice. After knowing that our blood groups match, I can't just sit here hoping that she'll return by miracle" I say him in a sad tone. He just gives me a smile and walks away. "Dr. Banner, this way." the doctor says and leads me into a room.

NEXT MORNING . . .

I wake up and find myself on a hospital bed. I look around and see Rhodes and Wanda sitting on a couch. I try to get up but somehow I couldn't. Wanda stands up and comes towards me. "Good morning. How are feeling?" she says.  Without answering her, I go on asking her "Where's Nat? How is she? Is she okay? Did she wake up yet? Please tell me she's fine. Wait, what do you mean good morning? " She sighs and answers back, "Natasha is out of the danger zone, but she didn't wake up yet. It's been almost 26 hours.", and I see tears forming in her eyes. I see a nurse entering the room with a hurry. "You've been dismissed, maybe. I mean you're free to go." she says and kind of runs away. Now you must be laughing, but that really didn't affect me as I was really sad, terrified and wanted to see her immediately. I quickly dress up and leave the room.

I hurled towards the ICU. I open the door to her room and saw her on the bed, unconscious. As I slowly walk to her bed, I notice all those machines connected to her. It really breaks my heart to see her in this condition. I sit at the edge of the bed, staring at her face. She looks like she's so weak. I felt like crying, but I tried not to. A nurse comes inside the room and does her work. I take her right hand and tell her, "Please wake up, Natasha. You can't just keep laying here. You have to wake up! Even if you don't want to, but you'll have to. You know how much I love you, right? Well, if you do, then you also know that you have to wake up for me." At this moment, tears start falling off my eyes. "I'm sorry but, you have to leave the room." the nurse says. Before leaving her, I just whisper one word into her ear, "Please."
