It Wasn't Okay, Not For Me 2

Chapter 6

Bruce's POV:
I step out of the room and see Wanda, Rhodes, Sam and Thor coming towards me. "How is she?" Wanda asks me. I give her a sad look and everybody understands. "Banner, I think you all should go back to the facility, take some rest. I'll stay here tonight, with her." Thor suggests. "Thanks." I reply. He gives me a smile and then we head out.

At the facility . . .

Rhodes's POV:
We enter the facility and head towards the living room. We all sit down. Soon a servant enters the room and hands out a drink to everyone (yes we have servants and a living room. Though it's the Avengers Facility, it's also the home of the Avengers, which means there are bedrooms too.) We all keep talking to each other about random things, mostly about Nat's situation. All of a sudden, without a word Banner leaves the room. "I'm gonna go check on him." I tell everyone and keep following Banner from a distance. I see him enter his room and I decide to keep watching him from a distance. He goes inside and sits on the bed. He then pulls out his phone from his pocket and does something with it, but I couldn't understand what he was doing. At a point, he stops doing whatever he was doing and then keeps staring at the phone.

Bruce's POV:
After having the juice, they all started talking about Natasha. I couldn't tolerate anymore so I headed out of the living room without a word. I entered my bedroom and sit down on the bed. I pull out my phone from my pocket and enter Gallery. Then I go through all the photos, trying to find Natasha's photo. Finally, I found it.

I keep staring at it and keep thinking to myself "Will she be okay?". After some time Rhodes comes inside, saying "Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine." I lie. He sits next to me and says, "She's gonna be fine. Don't worry." "I know that. It's just... I wanna be with her till the end of my life. I almost lost her once, and I can't lose her again. She means the world to me." I reply. After that we have a long conversation with each other.

It's 2.00pm (14:00hrs) right now. Someone calls Rhodes. He answers the call. After some seconds he looks at me with a very big smile on his face. "Natasha's back!" he says, "She wants to talk to you." He hands me the phone. I immediately take the phone. "Bruce?" she asks. As soon as I hear her voice, my eyes fill with tears, tears of joy.

–Natasha?

–Bruce, I need you here, right now.

–Wha-- Yeah, I'm coming.

I give the phone back to Rhodes and run down the stairs. I go to the garage, take a car and leave.

At the hospital . . . 
I enter the hospital, run through the corridor, I hurriedly open the door to her room and find Natasha almost sitting on the bed and Thor standing beside her, talking.

As I opened the door and saw her, I froze on my position. I saw that she also froze on her position. "Oh! He's here." he says, "I'll leave you two alone." Thor then leaves the room. I am still on my fixed position. I start slowly walking towards her. Eventually I sit down on the bed beside her. She holds my hands and gestures me to come closer. I do what she asked me to do. She comes near my ear and whispers four magical words into my ear:
"I love you too."
