George's POV:
Liverpool, 24th December 1961:

"Oi George! Where does this go?" Paul asked holding up a wreath from our Christmas decorations box whilst the rest of the lads, primarily John, run around dramatically throwing ribbons and streamers everywhere.
"On the front door I think....but ask me mum!" I called to him as he started heading for the front door as if he had a very important job to do.

It's our Christmas Eve party tonight and I finally get to see Amelia again. It's been a week since I last saw her and I've been going out of my mind, I know it sounds ridiculous but only being able to hear her voice over the telephone and not be able to hold her in person is such a drag. But today I get to see her properly again!

I last saw her after our photoshoot with the MerseyBeat newspaper, it was a great day all round, the highlight of my day, however, was seeing her bright, beautiful smile light up when she saw me.....followed closely by the others having to wear makeup to cover their bruises from the previous events that had happened that week.

Amelia's mum headed to London yesterday and while this made her feel quite sad, she was extremely comforted by the telegram she received from her Father who was currently sailing in the Middle East. He sent her some money and a lovely silver ring for Christmas, as well as a bunch of questions concerning who the hell I was....I wonder what she said come to think of it.

The lads, plus Ritchie and Rory, are all already here to help decorate and sort the food and music out for tonight, which is set to start at 5:30 and it's already gone 5. And I've got to admit, they're actually doing a good job. The streamers, whilst being practically everywhere due to John's exuberant dance he did with them, looked pretty good. The balloons were dotted around downstairs in the living room, dining room and kitchen plus in the hallway to welcome the guests.

"Oh Georgie, no lovey that doesn't go there." My mother almost shrieked walking into the living room as I placed a candy cane "wrongly" on the tree.  The lads all snickered at this then proceeded to follow me upstairs to get changed as I shook my head at my mothers nit picking, stuffing said candy cane in my mouth.

"Jeans are alright aren't they George?" Paul asks unzipping his bag to pull out a grey jumper. He threw it over his head, ruffling his hair up slightly and I shrugged.

"I guess? I mean that's all I'm wearing, we didn't really set a dress code." I chuckled, John stuck to his black top and leather jacket combo as did Pete. Ringo put on a smart shirt and Rory remained in his black T-shirt and threw on a white jacket to accompany it.

"Could we look any more different?" Pete chuckled looking round at all of us as I slid on my blue jumper and fastened my belt after tucking my shirt in. Paul and I straightened out our hair. We all threw a cig in our mouths before heading back downstairs to the sound of the doorbell ringing. My heart was racing, was this Amelia?

My mother frantically ran out the kitchen, still in her apron, to answer it, wiping her hands vigorously down her front to straighten herself out. That was until she spotted us.

"Not in the house George! What have I told you?!" She gasped swiping the cig from my mouth, pushing it harshly against my chest, the lads quickly pulled all theirs out of their mouths and stuffed them in their pockets, eager not to get a bollocking from my mum. I groaned as we headed for the living room and changed the record to something more upbeat, once realising it wasn't Amelia at the door.

5:55 pm

"Oi George! What times the buffet open mate?" John laughed plodding over to me, his arm swung around Cyn, as the guests continued to pile into our cramped living room. We'd all dressed a bit more casual than everyone else, my dads mates were coming in suits and the birds were coming in their best frocks. I wonder what Amelia will wear....but where is she? It's not like her to be late to anything!
