You were biting your bottom lip so much that it was bleeding causing you to wipe it. Whenever you weren't biting your lip you were peeling your lip which was no better than biting it. Your anxiety was spiking and it always spiked whenever you were worried about Mirio. Why would you need to worry about Mirio? He's part of the big 3, his quirk and skill are on par with the pros. Well, his skill is still on par with a pro but he no longer has his quirk. Not only did he lose his quirk in the fight with Chisaki but he lost his sensei Sir Nighteye too. What did this big ray of sunshine do though? He never showed how he was truly affected by it, the next day he was already smiling and chipper than ever. More chipper than someone who had just lost their quirk permanently and their Sensei all in one shot. If that was you, you wouldn't exactly be smiling as big as he was and act like everything is fine as soon as he did. You weren't stupid though and neither were his two best friends especially Amajiki. Nothing escaped him but he would turn a blind eye to it if it was for Mirio's sake. He doesn't like confrontation and he doesn't like to upset Mirio or possibly bring him back down by bringing up barely healed wounds. That however didn't stop him or Hado from talking to you about it since you managed to worm your way into the Big 3 of UA lives

"I'm really worried about him." Of course, it would be Amajiki to voice his opinion first when it comes to Mirio. He truly and deeply cares for Mirio, more than anyone in this school does

"Nonsense! He said it was fine! That everything is going to be okay and to stop worrying about him-" You decided to cut her off even though you knew all she was doing was trying to give him space. Something that she thinks he needs

"I agree with Amajiki. There is something off about Mirio and we all know what it is. He lost his quirk and he lost his sensei. Even though he doesn't want us to worry I think him throwing himself headlong into assignments and working harder is his way of coping with his new reality." They both fell silent, not willing to look at me but off to the side. The silence proved that they agreed with you. They agreed that Mirio has always been a hard worker, always made sure that his power and body were up to par to handle his quirk permeation because even his dad said it. His quirk is strong enough to split him into two if not handled and trained correctly and even with this knowledge he never strayed away from the challenge, from the possibility that if he uses it wrong, just a tiny little mishap, it could lead to his death. He was already mentally strong, much stronger than some may believe, but what happened to him? Losing your quirk, losing a somewhat father figure? That would be too much for anyone to handle by themselves without saying something to someone.

"I agree too, but I feel that he doesn't want to talk to us. Every time we tried to bring it up he just brushes it off and acts like everything is fine, but I see it and I know Amajiki does too. His smile is bright but it doesn't reach his eyes the way it used to. Whenever he sees one of us use our quirk he's happy for us but I know it's more." Amajiki took over after it seemed that she was no longer going to speak for the time being which was rare for her to do.

"I think he's genuinely happy that we didn't lose our quirk, but he's still silently mourning the death of his quirk and his sensei." You nodded your head agreeing to what the both of them said. It made sense honestly but you also admired the way they flowed in conversation, picking up where the other left off at.

"However he does not want to open up to us because he doesn't want us to worry. That's just the way he is, he's heroic in every way possible." You smiled looking off to the side. He really was heroic and always will be your Lemillion regardless of him not having a quirk.
