"I think I must really hate myself to stay up until 3 in the morning and then wake up at 8 every single day six days a week." You were currently chugging down an XL coffee at 9 PM while video chatting with Ochaco. You adored her you really do her and Asui were your best friends since all of you met at UA 10 years ago. Your quirk is I.Q so you used it to your advantage to get the best grades possible even though you had no interest in becoming a hero, you simply wanted to work as a scientist under David Shield and his daughter Melissa. Your dream came true! Well, honestly all of your dreams came true. Ochaco became a pro under the name Uravity and Asui became one as well under the name Froppy and you were a scientist who worked under David Shield until you ended up owning your own company!
"You do hate yourself that's worst than Deku and he's the number one hero!" You winced being compared to Japan's number one workaholic. Honestly, did he even sleep? or breathe?
"Gee thanks for rubbing it in." You rolled your eyes as she gave you a wink "So what you've been up to? I saw your team up with Shoto and fight that weird-ass villain" It was rare to see those two pair up but they worked flawlessly together
"His fucking quirk was a pendulum. I was so confused because what does that even mean?? Unfortunately, I found out the hard way when he touched me and my body decided to slam itself back and forth into the same buildings! Like that's a dangerous quirk! If it wasn't for Shoto I would've been finished!" You frowned heavily at that. You didn't appreciate seeing your friend's body bruised and limp filled with blood. You definitely didn't appreciate having to go to the hospital and seeing her wrapped like a mummy in a hospital bed. You, Asui, and Deku took turns watching over her despite the visits from the rest of her friend group. It was day 6 when she finally woke up from her coma and safe to say Deku didn't let go nor leave the room when asked by the nurses. You and Asui decided to leave them be and go home to change and clean. That night was a whirlwind of emotions because one thing lead to another and you somehow ended up confessing your crush to her and to your utter surprise her feelings were reciprocated. You waited until Uravity was back to her hero job to tell her the news and she was more than happy for the two of you.
"I'm glad that you weren't killed. I know it's part of the job description to fight villains putting your life on the line but still. I would rather not see you in a hospital bed in a coma. Well at least a coma, the hospital is your mistress after all." You smirked taking a sip of your coffee "Deku's too." You added that as an afterthought reminding the ridiculous amount of times he was sent to Recovery Girl for broken bones and that didn't change at all even now that he's 26.
"Look listen it's a relationship neither of us wanted but they are persistent in staying." She tried to give a serious look but busted out into giggles with you following close behind her. "I miss talking to you Y/N." You smiled at her leaning your head on your hand
"I miss you too. We need to make a date to see each other right? Make sure to bring Deku and I'll bring Asui." She smiled largely wiggling in place
"I can't wait! I'll let you know the when and we can decide the where. I have to go. Talk to you later Y/N! Love you!" She was waving goodbye to you as you waved back
"Love you too Ochaco." You hit the end button on the call and looked at the time. It was 10:30 and Asui still wasn't home? It's going to be one of those nights then. You stretched and yawned. You took one look at your coffee and decided not to drink the rest of it. You were going to wait for Asui to come home and then you two can shower together and go to sleep like normal people and try to stay asleep until at least 9 ish. You snorted knowing damn well you two have it instilled in you to wake up early like clockwork. You got up turned off everything and set your unfinished coffee in the fridge for tomorrow. You might make an iced coffee out of it. You left one light on in the living room and decided to stay there on the couch and read a book. You grabbed some random sci-fi/fantasy book and to your utter surprise you were drawn into it and before you knew it, it was almost 12. You glanced up furrowing your brow at the time and just as you were thinking of calling her just to make sure she was okay since she was supposed to be home 2 hours ago but hero work can get in the way, you heard what sounded like thumps at your door rattling it. You jumped up and stared at the door in suspicion all the hairs on your body standing up. You grabbed the poker from the fireplace and walked lightly towards the door. You slowly unlocked the door and with quickness wretched it open weapon poised upwards but what you saw made everything drop as your world spun. Asui. Your precious, sweet, Asui was lying in a pool of her own blood. Her limbs looked as if they were holding on by threads and her breathing was labored and rough her eyes pinched closed in pain. You wanted to vomit, you wanted to pass out and scream. As softly and as quickly as you could you picked up Asui and took her inside slamming the door shut behind her. You were panicked. You were horrified and didn't know what to do. You were thinking quickly and rapidly not liking the way blood dripped and splattered all over the place and on you. You froze thinking of something. You definitely have done it before but to do it to Asui...You looked down at her and she was pale, super pale and you didn't like it one bit. You needed to act fast and quick so you quickly went to your lab clearing everything off the table and placing her gently on the table. You cleared her face of any debris and hair peppering kisses all over her face "I love you Asui please forgive me." She let out a croak but didn't open her eyes and you set to work. You worked long and hard well into the night and by the time you finished, it was dawn the sun peeking out of the windows you had. You were breathing heavily not wanting to look at the bags of disposed limbs that belonged to your soon-to-be wife. That's if she doesn't hate you and she becomes your ex...You wiped the dirt from you to the best of your ability. For the most part, her head and neck were fine along with her hands and feet. However, you had to replace everything else with metal including some of her organs so she was 75 percent android and 25 percent human. She can still be a hero since you installed her frog-like abilities into her arms and legs and somehow reattached her human hands and feet to her arms and legs. Now you had to play the waiting game. You didn't have to wait long though
".....Y/N chan?" You were standing above her and she looked relieved to see you but her face contorted into worry when she saw all the blood, grime, and sweat on you. You were a hot dirty mess with tears, snot, blood, and grime all over you. She reached up a hand and that's when she froze when she saw her hand but a metal arm attached to it. That's when she looked down and started to panic. She started thrashing letting out a horrible scream that had you holding her tightly.
"I'm so sorry Tsu-chan, I'm so sorry. You were so hurt and you were going to die and I had to do something! There was no time for anything you lost too much blood and if I moved you anymore you wouldn't be here! Please don't hate me, Please! You still have your abilities and you're still you! I didn't want to lose you! I couldn't lose my Tsu-chan I need you!" You were blabbering while crying and rocking her trying to calm her down and it was a while but somehow it worked.
"...I don't hate you Y/N chan" You looked at her in utter shock. She didn't hate you? "I still love you even though I'm a little upset."
"I'm sorry we can work this out. We can go through this together! I won't leave you I'll show you the ins and outs so you won't be confused. I'll do anything and everything you ask." She was quiet just staring at you, silently observing you before she brought both arms up placing her hands on your cheeks
"Together, ribbit?" Her ribbit was so cute and endearing. You brought your forehead to lean against hers laughing a bit through the tears
"Together." She hummed satisfied with the answer and closed her eyes just trying to enjoy your presence and comfort.
