i was currently sat at a booth in Starbucks writing for my boyfriend to show up. he said he was in his way and that was half an hour ago! i was debating whether or not to get up and leave. if he hasn't shown up within thirty minutes i might as well leave. suddenly, my phone dings signalling that i have a message. looking down i see that it is an unknown number with a video attached. me being the curious person i am, opens the message and looks at the videos thumbnail. that broke my heart. i clicked on the video to see what the content was and when i watched it, my whole my whole life came crushing down. my boyfriend. kissing my bestfriend. how could he does this. how could THEY do this? to the people around i was sat by myself crying uncontrollably in a booth by myself. what a great way to start the new year.
after what felt like forever, i decided to get my shit together and go back home and cry a little more because of the emotional person i am. as i am getting my stuff together, i see a person in the corner of my eye sit down in front of me.
"you have already done enough damage and if you want to do some more go right ahead" i said whilst putting my things away
"hey, who hurt you?" the person said. shit. guess who messed up? this girl.
"don't stress it" i said looking at them briefly and walking away. before i could get to the door they lightly grabbed my wrist and walked me back over to the booth we were previously sat in.
"talk to me, please" he said. not gonna lie, he was cute but knowing him he would have already got a girl and be happy with her.
"why?" i asked
"because what you said i knew you were hurt because i can bet you i have gone through the same thing as you" the boy said
"so your supposed boyfriend dated you for 2 years and then you find out from a video that he cheated on you with your 'bestfriend' and then thinking back on the whole relationship it never mattered because he only dated you to see someone else?" i said looking at the table
"kinda, my girlfriend cheated on me with multiple guys and we only dated for half a year" he said putting his hand on the table.
"sucks to be us" i said looking at him
"yeah, it does" he replied looking at me
we talked a little more and decided to go back to my house. now, your thinking, why would you take a random stranger to your house that you have just met. well, i know a lot more about this guy and called it quits on my boyfriend (now ex and ive never felt any better). so you might be thinking who this mysterious guy is and let me tell you. his name is colby and he does YouTube with his best friend Sam and they live next to each other in apartments.
MONTHS LATER
me and Colby have been talking for a while now and let me tell you. me and him have finally called it official and we promised to never cheat on each other. it crushed both of us and now we are both in love. i guess you could say we are a cute couple and are couple goes as people would say to us when they saw us in public.
