Guess who's b a a a a a a c k !! Yeah that's right. It's me. Sorry for making u wait.
Izuku grumbled and wiped the sleep from his eyes. Today was a Thursday, and school started back up today. Boy was he not ready for that. He was still in pain absolutely everywhere, and the jagged scar racing from his left lower hip to his left upper chest did not help his case. Nonetheless, he got dressed and ran down the stairs to meet everyone else in the kitchen. Yesterday, he was able to got back to the dorms because Recovery Girl seemed him well enough to do so.
"Sup Midoriya!" Kirishima called from the kitchen. He was making a sandwich. Wait. What? Izuku stopped. That's not meat in between the bread. Is that . . . Is that protein powder?
"What the hell?" Izuku whispered quietly.
Kirishima just looked embarrassed.
"O-ok, it may look bad, but I swear it's not what it looks like!"
Kaminari just cracked up behind him.
"It's your fault you lost the bet!" He howled.
"Bet?" Izuku was lost.
"They made a bet to see how long you would heal." Yaomomo called from behind him, her eyes holding laughter in them, but a stoic look on her face.
"Ouch." Izuku faked a gasp, and clutched his chest dramatically. "How could you?"
Kirishima started laughing, and he almost spilled his protein.
Izuku laughed with them. It felt nice to be back with his friends, and as he walked to school with them, he found that he's happier than he's been in a long time.
"Ok class, sit down." The voice of Mr. Aizawa boomed over the chatty kids. "I have an important announcement. The Sports festival is in a month, and we have to prepare."
Everyone reeled back like they had been blasted with a missile. 'Such a regular thing to do? Does he not remember what just happened a few days ago??
During the attack on the USJ, Mr. Aizawa tried to protect the students from the giant monster that the villains brought with them, and he sustained quite a bit of damage, but it wasn't too bad, All Might showed up just in time to help. He did have a new scar on his cheek though.
"During the gap between now and the festival, we will be training and learning new moves." Mr. Aizawa continued, "I expect you to work your hardest."
A chorus of 'yes sir's filled the air, and we all moved on to our next class. Izuku had a sinking feeling about the sports festival, though. Something just felt off, and Izuku wasn't having it. He didn't know how to explain it, but the sinking feeling in his gut told him that this was wrong. Maybe it was because his dad was associated with the League, or maybe it was just his nervousness. Nonetheless, Izuku knew that things weren't going to end smoothly.
They never do.
