Sorry I haven't updated in like two years I've been busy lol. Have fun with this trash I made.

Izuku returned to his dorm after having visited his mother. It was late Sunday, but Izuku wasn't tired just yet.

He had things to do. Things more important than sleeping. Sleep was for the weak. He'll sleep when he's dead.

Izuku pulled out his computer that he brought from home that his mother let him borrow, and frantically started typing in his dad's company's name.

'He's been gone. He's been gone for almost 15 years now. 'Working over seas' my ass. Why didn't the company call us to say that he never arrived there? Why was their no notice that he's been absent for too long?'

Izuku knew that his dad used work as an excuse to leave. He knew that he wasn't going to work. But why didn't his work say anything? Why didn't they contact him? Why no phone call saying 'hey, where is Mr. Midoriya?' DAMN WHY WAS THERE NO CALL?

What had happened?

What had went so wrong along the way?

Izuku scrolled up and down the page searching for an answer. His eyes illuminated by the brightness of the screen. Eyes moving to fast and determined across the screen that anyone with a speed quirk would be put to shame. Over and over. The same words hitting his eyes. The same greeting of the front page. The same pictures of work. That same goddamn smile his dad wore across his face from sixteen years ago when he was awarded with employee of the year. It hurt. It hurt bad - why? Why couldn't they be a family again? Why did his dad have to leave for such reasons? Why?

'Where are the answers? Where are all the answers to my questions?'

No answer came.

Who was he kidding. Of course there were no answers. There were never answers. Not when he was diagnosed quirkless. Now when Bakugou started to bully him harder and harder each day. Not when his mom broke down sobbing. Telling him that she was sorry. Sorry for something that she had no control over.

'There must have been something. Some sort of confusion within the workers!'

Izuku scrolled up to the top of the page. Scanning each paragraph till he found it.

Izuku picked up the phone and dialed the work number.

A few rings.

Nothing.

Two more rings.

No answer.

On the Seventh ring, someone picked up.

"Thank you for calling ********** how may I help you?"

Izuku paused. How was he going to word this? 'Hey, fifteen years ago my father was supposed to show up for work but he didn't. Where is he now'? That wouldn't work one bit. What would? What would he say to sound understandable?

"Hello?"

What to say. What to say. 'Hi this so Midoriya. Son of Hisashi. What the hell happened to my father'? That wouldn't work on so many levels.

"If this is a prank, it is highly unappreciated."

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Izuku stammered into the phone. He collected his thoughts, still not sure what to do. "M-My name is Izuku. I'm Hisashi's son." Izuku started. A good start for the follow up, but before he could ask, the lady on the other end spoke up.

"Oh! That's right! I know you, sweetheart!" The lady on the other end replied enthusiastically. A smile in her voice. "I know your father. We've been friends for years now! He's such a help working here, but if you were wanting to speak to him, I'm afraid he's already gone to bed."

'What?'

Izuku's jaw locked in place. He couldn't speak.

'What do you mean? A big help? He's not even there?'

Izuku wanted to scream. He wanted to explain everything to the lady. Whoever was there right now was not his father. The people at the company could be in danger right now. Something could go wrong. There were too many possibilities of something happening. Something bad. Something really bad -

Izuku forced a smile on his face.

"That's a shame," he started, "sorry to be a bother."

"No trouble at all, sweetheart."

Izuku hung up the phone.

This is not good.

'How am I supposed to be a hero like this? I won't save anyone. Of anything, I'll just hurt them. This is causing so many problems - and it's all my fault.'

It blossomed all throughout Izuku as the raspy voice of his father came through.

'You won't get any answers there.'

"Oh shut up, you scum."

'Did you really think that I would leave behind any evidence of my disappearance?'

"I said shut up!"

"Damn, Midoriya. We didn't think we were talking that loud."

The voice of Kaminari from the hallway tore Izuku's attention away from his chest. His door slowly opened, and there was the latter himself along with Sero.

"Oh no I - I wasn't talking to you. I was - um-" Izuku picked up his phone and put it to his ear, indicating that he was making a phone call.

"That's ok, man!" Kaminari clapped his back "I've never heard you raise your voice before. Your always so nice, and it kinda shocked me when I heard you yelling."

"Yeah, sorry."

The two exited the room, leaving Izuku to himself. Trying to drag his mind away from earlier, he decided on what to do for school tomorrow. The USJ training was just a few hours away, and there were multiple scenarios to be in.

'Oh well.'

'We'll just see tomorrow, I guess.'
