Leaving Back

I heard the door of my parents car close and I said "They're here."

Suga said "Don't worry."

They walked in and saw Suga sitting on the sofa.

My mother asked "Why is here?"

I said "We came to say goodbye."

Lo with a comforting smile said "Yeah we're leaving back to Korea."

My mother said "No you can't."

My father said "It hasn't been four months!"

I said "We have the documents here and we made a copy for you guys to have."

My mother said "THIS IS RIDICULOUS! AND YOUR LEAVING WITH HIM!"

I said "Yes and we're getting married. I hope you can join us over there."

My father said "HOW DO YOU WANT US TO GO?! IF WE CAN'T EVEN LEAVE THIS COUNTRY!"

Lo said "Stop yelling and listen."

I said "You guys are citizens now. You don't have to hide anymore."

My mother said "What sick joke is this?!"

Suga took out the papers and handed them to her. She didn't receive them. I grabbed them and put it on the table.

"Read it when you want. We're leaving." I said.

My mother asked "How did you get the process to fasten up?"

My father asked "Did you have these citizenship documents the whole time?! You tricked us!"

Suga said "I was the one who did all the process. She has nothing to do with this. I told her about it when I had the documents."

My father said "You told him!"

I said "I'm going to marry him. There won't be secrets or lies like in this family!"

My mother starred at me and said "You already married him!"

She came towards me quick and Suga got in front of me.

Suga said "Don't you dare touch her! I will not hesitate to call the cops on you guys! We literally have helped you guys alot and you don't appreciate nothing! Why don't you want her to be happy?!"

I was terrified and I said "Lo run to the car."

Lo ran out the door.

My mother said "No don't leave!"

My father said "You gave us this citizenship to call the cops on us so we can suffer in this country prison! Didn't you?!"

I moved next to him as I held Suga's hand and said "No! I'm already a grown up and you still want to boss me around! I won't let you hit me again."

My mother said "Get out of my house! Your not my daughter anymore! You married him without my or your father's consent!"

I said "Let's go, Suga."
