Helping The Boomers

(Chesney Rae's pov)

"Are you okay?" I said catching up with clay seeing just a few minutes ago he was on the brink of death "yes I'm fine" he said as the girl in combat armor stopped at the door of their leader "go inside and behave yall self's" she said giving clay an agitated look as we entered "welcome children I am mother pearl it is nice to finally have yall here" "you were expecting us?" The courier asked confused "my children I've been waiting for a long time for some outsiders to enter this place since I was barely even a woman and I must say yall did make quite an entrance" "yall made quite a greeting" clay said rubbing his healed stomach "my child I'm very sorry it had to come to that I'm kinda thinking we should just let the world in instead of trying to keep it out" "well what can we do to help?" Clay asked stepping forward "many ways child loyal needs help repairing the solar array dishes our doctor needs help with patients also Raquel needs someone to clear out the generators of all the ants" "seems easy enough" the courier said stepping forward "thank yall my children" she said smiling as we stepped out.

(Couriers pov)

"Well this is awkward to say but I have to go do something" I said giving an awkward smile "where the hell are you going?" Clay said angrily "that's none of your concern" I said walking away.

(My pov)

"Lazy bastard" I said angrily looking at the list of jobs "are you good with repairs or have medical experience?" I said looking at Chesney "not really" she said awkwardly "*sigh* more work for me" I said walking into the hangar as we saw a blonde haired man sitting near an old B-29 bomber "woah this is so cool" I said admiring it as the blonde haired man got up and walked over to us "yall must be the outsiders strange I always thought yall spoke a different language but I guess yall are just like us" "are you loyal?" "No I'm Jack loyal is over there" he said pointing to a much older man "hey yall wouldn't have to be from the crimson caravan are yall?" "um no why?" We both asked confused "oh nevermind" "what is it?" Chesney asked now interested in what he had to say "well there's a woman the most beautiful red headed woman I've ever seen her hair is short and she works for the crimson caravan but what if she gets blown up what if.....what if she doesn't like me" he said sadly as I walked over to loyal.

(Chesney Rae's pov)

"So this girl works for crimson caravan and you like her the only problems are that your not allowed to leave and she'll probably never make it past the artillery" "that sums it up" he said sadly "what if I talk to her" I said as he lit up with a smile "would you that's so nice of you" he said happily as I exited the hangar "now to crimson caravan" I said teleporting there.

(My pov)

"You must be loyal" I said walking up to the old man "yes you must be one of the outsiders what brings you here?" "I hear you need your solar ray dishes repaired" "yes actually do you have experience with this kinda thing?" "I'm pretty good with my hands" I said rubbing my neck awkwardly "well in that case let me add the location to your pip boy and you can get started" he said as he did just that.

(Chesney Rae's pov)

"I'm here" I said to myself walking inside as I instantly saw the woman I was looking for "howdy" I said waving to her as she smiled at me "question do you ever look through your binoculars at the boomers base" "um yes why?" "Well do you ever see someone looking at you through their binoculars?" "A nice handsome blonde boy I always wondered if he was watching me back" "well he feels love toward you" "REALLY" she shouted happily "yes" I said frantically because the shout caught me off guard as I teleported back to the boomers.

(My pov)

"Alright let's do this" I thought to myself taking off my helmet and trench coat as I grabbed the tools loyal gave me and started going to work doing everything I knew how to do until I ran into one problem "shit one of the parts is completely gone" I said to myself frantically searching for a replacement part.

(Chesney Rae's pov)

"Well Jack your in luck she loves you back" "really that's amazing" he said happily only later realizing his other problem "she wouldn't make it pass the gunners" he said sadly sighing "what if I talk to mother pearl" I said as he looked up at me "that would be nice" he said as I started walking to the house she lived in "hello child" she said happily "hello mam" "what brings you here child" "well jack has fallen love" "really well who is this lovely lady?" "Well shes with the crimson caravan company" "oh shes with those traders they've tried to trade with us before but I'm not intrested in trading with greedy savages" she said sadly "please mam jack really wants this wouldn't you want him to be happy "*sigh* fine but he's responsible for her actions" "thank you" I said running back to the hangar "JACK GOOD NEWS" I yelled running up to him "what did she say?" "She said yes" "that's great I'll let the gunners know shes coming and not to shoot at her also give her this boomer outfit so they'll know for sure" he said handing me the outfit as I teleported back to crimson caravan company "so what did they say?" Janet said eagerly "they said-" "well there's one more thing I need you to do" "yes what is it?" I said slightly irritated "well I have a work contract with the crimson caravan and if I walk away I'll lose my wages-" I already knew what she wanted me to do so I made my to the caravan office "welcome to the crimson caravan I'm Alice mclafferty" "hello I'm Chesney Rae I'm here because janet told me-" "oh your here about her work contract shes aware shes breaking it going after a boomer shes never met" "please mam just this once I know you have some mercy" "*sigh* negotiating is not how I made this company successful but just this once I'll allow it she'll be paid on the way out" she said as I headed back to janet "your free to go" I said giving her the boomers outfit as I teleported back to the Boomers.

(My pov)

"Now where the hell do I find a part like this" I thought to myself angrily as I then thought of one place there might be one "*sigh* son of a bitch" I said to myself putting my helmet and trench coat back on and fast traveled to novac as I started looking around for helios one "there" I said to myself taking out some binoculars as I saw the part I needed "I dont feel like dealing with NCR right now" I thought to myself putting on a stealth boy and walking up the gate "dumbasses" I thought to myself taking out some wire cutters and cutting the fence open while grabbing the part as I started tip toeing out of there "what is it boy?" An NCR trooper said as guard dog was sniffing me out "shit" I thought to myself thinking of how to get out of this situation searching through my inventory and pulled out some empty bullet shells as I threw one to the side "what was that?" Another trooper said as they ran to where I threw the shell as I teleported back to the solar rays "alright let's get this over with" I said to myself installing the last part as all the dishes were working again "great now back to loyal" I thought to myself making my way to the hangar as I passed by the clinic "maybe I'll pop in see what the doc needs" I thought to myself walking into the clinic "you must be one of the outsiders well I'm busy so I cant help you" "actually I'm here to help" "well I have three patients gravely injured from the ants do you have any medical experience" "yes I do" i said nodding "excellent take a look" he said as I walked up to the first patient "his leg requires amputation" I thought to myself as I grabbed a bone saw and gave his leg a shot of med x as I started to perform the amputation as it was successful "impressive" the doctor said as I found the second patient "infection" I thought to myself pulling out some hydrogen peroxide as the wound started to bubble up this being a good sign I used some whiskey to act as medical alcohol then in the process bandaging the wound "excellent I thought he was a goner" the doctor said as I saw the last patient he had swelling around his face and neck as I quickly gave him the required medication to stop the swelling as I used a stimpak to help start the breathing again "unbelievable your smarter than you look" the doctor said smiling as I patted him on the shoulder and walked back to the hangar.
