Still In The Dark Pt2

(My pov)

BOS knight 2: "r-repeat that"

Me: "what are you fucking deaf I said I'm Captain Clay Barina of the Desert Rangers and this is Jason courier for the Mojave Express"

The man slowly removed his helmet

Cole: "is it-is it really you Clay?"

I looked deeply into his face realizing it was my little brother I thought I was dreaming so I pulled a fork out and stabbed myself in the hand

Cole: "jesus that's a little extreme"

Me: "I'm not dreaming which means"

I removed my helmet

Me: "it's really after all this time"

I felt myself wanting to cry but I didn't want to embarrass myself right there in front of everyone I did walk up to him and give him a massive hug

Me: "h-how did you survive?"

Cole: "I'll explain that later now I believe the elder wants to speak with you"

Me: "right I'll go do that then I'll talk to you later"

Cole: "I'll take you to him follow me"

He said opening the door to the actual bunker itself we went down a flight of stairs and saw many laser turrets, knights, initiates, scribes, and Paladins roaming around the bunker all fulfilling duties and jobs around the base

Cole: "this way"

We turned right to a massive door cole walked up to it and scanned a key card opening the door

Cole: "the elder is on the right good luck brother"

He went back to his normal duty as the rest of us three approached the elder

Elder McNamara: "when I first heard that jake brought two outsiders with him I will say I was skeptical but after giving it some thought I have decided that some outsiders may be of great use to me given our current situation you see this bunker has been in a state of lockdown for quite sometime those who were in the bunker when it was initiated are forbidden to leave and those who were outside are forbidden from returning"

Jason: "forbidden from returning and not allowed to leave then how come Jake can come and go as he pleases?"

Elder McNamara: "jake is one of the many exceptions he brings food, water, and any other supplies we might need but to put our current situation simply we need y'alls help us but I will not force you to help us if you refuse you are free to leave but y'all are Jake's responsibility"

Jake: "I've already spoken with them about that already elder just give us the mission and we'll start right away"

Elder McNamara: "very well we've sent out three patrols to investigate sites that we tagged for field research none of them have come back we gave each patrol a holotape y'all should be able to lock on their signal with y'alls pipboys bring back these holotapes or bring our brothers home"

Me: "you have our word"

We had our orders and walked out of the room to see cole talking with a sort of bald guy who had little lines of hair on his head

(Coles pov)

Me: "head Paladin Hardin sir I know I'm not one of the exceptions but I request permission to aid my brother on his missions I know the brotherhood well and I know the locations of where the patrols went to"

Hardin: "you know I can't just do that McNamara would freak out on all of us then again you already know my opinion on McNamara alright your request is granted just don't make such a big deal about it okay"
