Still In The Dark Pt5

(My pov)

Jason: "What's the next vault?"

Cole: "Vault 3."

Me: "The fiend vault, why there?"

Cole: "Hey that's just one of the vaults on the list I didn't choose where these parts went."

Jake: "Well if you really think about it we'll be taking out the headquarters of one of the biggest raider gangs in the Mojave, so we'll be doing some good in the process."

Me: "Fine but we should stop at Gun Runners to stock up on ammo, then head for vault 3."

(Timeskip)

Jake: "Alright guys, behind this door will be in fiend territory. We charge in, enter the vault, kill everyone in there, get the part, and leave... understood?"

We all nod as he kicks the door down, into their territory.

Jake: "FRAG OUT!"

He pulled the pin on a grenade and threw it at three fiends, blowing them up.

Me: "GO GO GO!"

I yelled; killing a fiend with my riot shotgun. More fiends started running outside firing at us. I ducked behind some rubble and threw a frag, killing two, and wounding one fiend. I looking to my side I see Jake and Jason with 10mm submachine guns holding their ground. I pulled out my M4 and fired in burst at about 5 fiends; not knowing how many I actually killed, but I had the feeling it was most of them.

Me: "LET'S GO! MOVE UP!"

I yelled, giving the signal to move up and flank both sides leading to the vaults entrance.

Cole: "Watch out!"(shoots a fiend with his laser rifle, disintegrating him as I kill two with my riot shotgun, and another with a throwing axe)

(Jason's pov)

Clay: "LET'S GO MOVE UP!"

clay yelled giving us the signal to move up as him and cole took the right side as me and jake went left

Jake: "TOSSING OUT A GRENADE"

He yelled throwing a grenade into a postion of three fiends the explosion killing all three of them as I mowed down two with my 10mm submachine gun. We soon found ourselves at the vault door.

(My pov)

Me: "Everyone reload if you have to. Jason get this damn door open."

Jason: "Roger that."

He said pulling down the small lever on the control panel as alarms immediately sounded off signaling for us to stand by. The vault door then slid open.

Fiend: "Who the fuck are y'all? Y'all got some kind of death wish-"

She was disintegrated by coles shot as more fiends rushed in.

Me: "KILL THEM ALL! LET GOD SORT THEM OUT!"

I yelled, taking out my Thompson submachine gun and mowing them both down.

Me: "Move up."

They nodded and ran to my side as we moved up the diner, where, at least five fiends were waiting for us. I quickly knocked one of the tables down and used it as cover, as the others kneeled behind my cover and fired on the fiends, taking out all but one, as he started to run away not getting very far from my submachine gun burst.

Me: "Check your corners be ready for anything."

I peeked around a corner and saw nothing so I gave the signal to move up. They quickly got behind me.

Jake: "I hear voices, left side."

I nodded as jason moved up and fired his 10mm submachine gun in bursts, killing all the fiends in sight.

Jason: "What a bunch of garbage ass motherfuckers."

Cole: "let's not start getting sloppy, huh, according to this map the maintenance area is in the lower tunnel of the vault, and this door leads to it."

Me: "Jake open it."

Jake: "Got it."

He flipped the little switch on the hydraulic doors panel, making the door slide open. We stepped through the door way.

Me: "Jason take point."

He nods, takes cover by the doorless doorway, and listens for movement, as he then slowly peeks his head out.

Fiend: "You like the sight of your own blood?"

The fiend rushed Jason with a knife and cut his arm Hason smacks him in the face and stabs his neck with the knife.

Jason: "Motherfucker!"

I threw him some gauze for him to wrap around his arm.

Cole: "There it is the maintenance room."

I opened the door, seeing a little throne in the middle of the room. I take a step in the room, only to immediately be grabbed and thrown into some machinery. I see a fiend, possibly the leader revving up a chainsaw and coming towards me. He gets it going and is mere inches away from killing me when cole rams him from the side, knocking him back. He grabs the chainsaw and cuts into the fiend leader, killing him almost instantly.

Cole: "You good?"

I looked at his power armor, now covered in blood.

Me: "Yeah I'm fine."

Cole helps me up as Jason pulls out a part.

Jason: "This the one?"

He tosses it to Cole as Cole pulls out another picture.

Cole: "Yeah, this is it, two down, one more to go."
