At school, the next day Amy came up to me with two other girls trailing close behind her. "Riley, I wanna introduce you to my other two friends," she gestured to the two behind her. Stepping to the side, so I could get a better view of the girls. "Riley, this is Sarah and Jennifer." Sarah had a mini skirt on with a half shirt, while Jennifer had on some red skinny jeans with a black half shirt with red kissing lips on it. They both greeted me with a hug. Then, walked off giggling about something.
"Can I come over , so I can let your dad know it was my fault?" Amy asked. "What was your fault?" I asked scrunching my face up in confusion. "You sneaking out," she looked at me obviously. "Sure, I don't think he'll mind," I said.
When school was over, I headed outside to get in my dad's car. Apparently, he still was angry with me. "How did school go?" He startled me, because I was anticipating a quiet ride. "It was pretty cool, Amy introduced me to two of her other friends," I said confidently. "That's good, just make sure you don't make the wrong decisions. Every decision you make has a consequence, whether good or bad," he said sharing his words of wisdom. Nodding my head in understanding, I rolled the window down to let some air come in.
I changed out of my clothes into some shorts, when I made it home. Pulling my book out from under my pillow, I decided to catch up on my reading. My current book was called "The Nightshift". I don't know what it is about books, but I enjoy a good story unfolding before my eyes.
Forty five minutes into my reading, my mom yelled out for me. "Riley, you have company!" After marking my page, I headed for the living room. "Hi, Mr. And Mrs. Sanders, may I have a word with you?" I heard Amy's voice before I saw her.
Following them into the living room, we wall took a seat on the couch, while my dad sat in his recliner. " I wanna apologize to the both of you. It was my idea for Riley to sneak out, she is a good girl and friend. She would have never left, If it weren't for me putting the thought into her head. Riley looked over at her friend, and could see the sincerity and her words.
"Thank you, for coming by and being honest with us. I have the upmost respect for you taking responsibility for what you caused, but if it happens again... Riley will not be able to speak with you, again" my dad warned. "Yes sir I understand," she hugged me and let me know she'd see me tomorrow. I walked back to my room, showered, and read more of my book until I fell asleep.
