I didn't wake up until twelve in the afternoon, because I stayed up until three reading. My eyes were so heavy, I couldn't keep struggling to keep them open any longer. I was always happy when the weekend came. Meaning, I could lounge around in my pajamas all day.

After I took care of my business in the bathroom, I headed for the kitchen. The only thing different about this particular weekend, I plan on going to a party. I had to go, if I wanted to stay in good with Amy and the crew.

Entering the kitchen, I was puzzled to find it empty. There was a sticky note on the fridge, so I walked over to read it. We went to the grocery store, will be back shortly. Breakfast is in the microwave. -Love Mom

When I opened the microwave, there were three pancakes and six slices of bacon. Heating the food up, I walked to the fridge to pour me up some juice. Riley took a seat, and ate her food in silence. As I got up to rinse the plate off, my parents came in with a handful off groceries. "Can you give me a hand?" My mom asked. I grabbed a big bag out of her hand, taking a load off of her. My dad closed the door, and we all put up the groceries. "Did you get my note?" Mom asked. "Yes ma'am, I just finished eating as you guys came in," I replied.

"What do you wanna do tonight?" Do you think we should watch a movie together, Riley?" My dad asked. "Well, I was hoping you guys would let me go to a party, tonight. They both stopped what they were doing. My dad shoulders tensed up and my mom looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Riley, you know what happened last t- .. I cut my dad off." I know, I snuck out , but there will be chaperones at this party. I made sure of it, this time," I explained. "OK," my dad said. "So, can I go?" I asked hesitant. "Yes, but take my phone with you and call me when you get there," My dad finished. "Thank you! I hugged my dad then kissed my mom.

I hadn't felt like this ever, I did feel a little guilty for lying to my parents about there being chaperones. I ran up to my room when they told me I could go. I need to find something to wear, it sucks I don't have nice clothes like the other girls at school. I really need tot go shopping, but I doubt my parents would wanna waste money on buying me clothes. Oh well, I thought.
I grabbed a blue jean skirt that was an inch past me knee, and a blue blouse to go with it. Pulling on my clothes, I headed out the door. "Mom ! Dad ! I'm gone !" I yelled out to them, after I grabbed my dad's phone from the coffee table.

Now I felt like I should've wore a jacket, it felt colder than I expected. Chill bumps begin forming on my skin, I folded my arms to get a little warmth. Instead of pacing myself, I kind of power walked. I was ready to get inside the house, before I catch a cold in this night air. As I walked up to Amy's house, I realized there weren't any cars outside.

Rubbing my eyes, I blinked a few times to see if I were seeing clearly. I walked up to the porch and looked through the glass door. The house seemed to be empty, but if it wasn't I didn't wanna upset Amy. Curiously, I rang the doorbell and waiting. I turned away to leave, but before I knew it someone swung the door open.

"You came ! Amy cried running up to me with open arms. " Yes, where's everybody else?" I asked "The party got canceled, since my parents are on their way back," she said with tears streaming down her face. All I could do is hug her, I couldn't stand to see her in pain. "C'mon, let's get inside," I said rubbing her back. Amy tried to stop her tears from falling, but that didn't seem to be working. Amy and Riley made it inside and sat on her bed in her room.

"Why are you sad, shouldn't you be happy that their coming back?" I asked while examining her face for any reaction. "No, I hate it when their here, they expect so much of me, and always throw their money at me, but they don't realize that none of that matters to me. All I really want is their love and some of their attention, you can't put a price on Love," she said crying harder. I reached out to her, wiped her tears away and let her tears fall . "Amy, look at me," I said holding her face in my hands. "You are a beautiful young woman and I'm sure your parents love you. They work hard, so that you can have the life you live and to provide for you," I said truthfully. "" You really mean that?" She asked smiling. "Of course I do," I replied. We stayed up and talked, then painted each other's nails. The night was successful, even though she didn't throw a party.
