When I dropped Riley off, it seems like she was hesitant to get out. "Are you ok, do you need me to help you with your bags?" I asked her. She told me no, then she grabbed them and got out. I waved her off and left to go back home.

When I got home, my parents Tahoe and Escalade were in the driveway, so I parked on the curb. Grabbing my bags, I locked the doors and headed inside. I headed to my room to put my new clothes in my closet, but I was stopped as my dad blocked the way up the stairs.

"Where have you been Amy?" My dad asked. "I was out with a friend," I replied. "Why weren't you at school?" He roared. "Today was Senior ditch day, none of the seniors were at school," I informed him. My dad raised his hand up, and I cringed in fear. "What is all this?" He gestured to the bags in my hand. "Clothes," I stated. "YOU SPOILED BRAT, YOU THINK WERE OUT HERE WORKING OUR ASS OFF FOR YOU TO BE WASTING MONEY ON MORE CLOTHES!! YOU HAVE ENOUGH CLOTHES TO SHARE WITH ALL OF AFRICA, GO TO YOUR ROOM I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT YOU RIGHT NOW!! He boomed.

Running upstairs, I laid on my bed and cried my eyes out. My parents are never home and the one time they are I screw things up. What's wrong with me, I thought. When someone knocked on the door, I turned over on my bed as if I were sleep. "Amy.. Amy, I know your mad, but...he trailed off. I got up, and tears and snot were running down my face. "I'm sorry, I'll take it all back! "No, you don't have to apologize. I should be the on to apologize to you. Work has been very stressful, lately. The sales are down, and ...tears welled up in his eyes. "And what..dad?" "We may be looking at a foreclosure on the house, we can't make the payments, anymore," he said rubbing his forehead.

"I didn't know, I will take the stuff back tomorrow. You can have my college fund, I can go to the college here in the community. I can get a job," I rambled on. "No, your going to college," he said with a stern tone. "Dad, I've got a friend and I really don't wanna leave her," I explained. We really have a good connection. Plus, she only live a few houses down," Amy said.

"That's good, honey." "I don't want you to worry about anything, leave that to me and your mom,ok." "Yes sir."

I went to shower, and then put my favorite song on replay.

"Guess it's true that I'm not good at a one - night stand,

But I still need love cause I'm just a man. These nights never

Seem to go to plan, I don't want you to leave... Will you

Hold my hand? Oh want you stay with me ! Cause your

All I need, this aint love its clear to see, but darling stay

With me....
I cried, because I really didn't want to move. The other girls that claim to be my friend, their not around when I need them. So, I wouldn't say their real friends. I woke up the next morning, and I really didn't wanna go to school.

Walking downstairs, I walked to my dad's office. He looked up from all the scattered papers on his desk. "Aren't you going to school, honey?" My dad asked.

"No, can we get out of the house and doing something together?" I asked hopeful. "Sure sweetie, but this is the last time your skipping school," he said in a serious tone.

We decided to have a pic nic and catch up on each other's lives. We made some sandwiches and bought some fruit and juices. Placing the food, snacks and drinks in the pic nic basket and headed to the park. Then, we found the perfect spot in the park. My dad laid out the blanket while I grabbed the basket full of goods.

We both took a seat on the blanket. "How's school been?" My dad asked interested. "It has been good so far, I made a real friend and we get along well. We went shopping yesterday, and ate at that new restaurant on fifth. I scored high on my Sat's," I said smiling. "How about work?" I asked. My dad's demeanor changed when I bought work up. "Let's not talk about work," he said looking down grabbing an orange. We ate, laughed and talked for the rest of the pic nic. Night started to dawn on us, and I felt the warmest feeling in my gut. At first, I thought something may have been wrong, but I realized I felt love. For the first time in forever, I had received Love, the best thing that you can't put a price on. My dad looked at me like I was crazy. "Are you ok?" He asked. "Yes, I'm just happy," I replied. "Why?" He looked at me confused. "I'm happy, because all I've ever wanted is for you to show me love and attention, not I feel complete. I wish there could be more days like this," I said truthfully. "We can go on a vacation to South Beach over the summer, if you would like that," he said. "Yes, I would love too as long as your there ! I said hugging my dad.
