Chapter 7: Meeting new professors

When I woke up I had a bandage round my head were I had obviously hit it and split it open and a needle with what was obviously the antidote to all the poisons going through it straight in to my blood stream. "He's awake some one tell healer b" a tall female professor with black hair and a prominent red blazer whisper yelled to a bunch of other people who were sat around my bed in the hospital wing. "What.....what happend? Who.....who are you? Why are there so many of you?" I asked feeling a bit overwhelmed looking from one of them to another. " we are professors here at hogwarts and when we heard what happend we wanted to come and see you but you have been unconscious for 5 days. I'm professor Palmer." The tall woman said introducing herself. " that is professor darling and professor goldfinch." Professor Palmer explained pointing to a thin woman with an eye patch and a smaller ginger woman. "I'm professor raine we already met I was the guy who rescued you and brought you here" the tall blond professor said waving. " h...hi everyone my...my name is hunter fairchild s.....sorry I'm not at my best it's......it's been a rough few days" I stuttered still feeling slightly overwhelmed by the amount of people around me. "Ok give the boy some space can't you see he is scared dont crowd him so he can get his bearings!" Healer b barked orders at the professors to try make me more comfortable. "Rufus stay you lot may go and I will let you know when you can come see hunter" professor Palmer said dismissing the other professors. "Right I have to go deal with a student vomiting slugs but I won't be to far away ok so be careful with him!" Nurse beadlescombe warned the two remaining professors. " don't worry we just wanna talk to him we aren't gonna do nothing to the kid I promise" Professor Rain said sticking his pinky out mocking the young healer. " hey hunter how you feeling hun? I have some news that I hope you will like but take it as you will." Professor Palmer said preparing herself for what she was going to say. " since you are an orphan and you have no family left we professors have been talking and well we want to take you in as our own." She continued when I just kinda stared at her. "Basically we want you to join us and let us be your new family so we can look after you and help you get through life" Raine said dumbing everything down for me so I could understand " really you guys wanna take me out of any one in to your care. Ok sure I love it and is better than being alone. I just have one question." I said looking from Palmer to Raine and back. "Sure go ahead buddy ask away" Palmer said looking a me with a small smile. "Can you be the mom of the family stucture?And him uncle be like an uncle?It's just I feel like you are the more responsible one and I would be safe with you. But he just seems like the fun sassy uncle" I asked hoping I hadn't stepped over any lines. "Sure hun if you wanna see me as a mother figure that's fine with me and I'm sure Rufus would be ok with you seeing him as an uncle figure." Professor Palmer said with Raine nodding in agreement to what she was saying. With that healer b came back and the two professors were ushered out of the hospital wing on the grounds of I needed rest and I wasn't ready to be grilled by the professors yet.
