Woojin looked up when he heard footsteps. His eyes were no longer unfocused. He was now calm.

Chan was at the doorway, eyes red but hopeful.

"Was she his mother?"

His question resonated in the air, but it sounded more like a statement if anything.

"And she was your aunt." Woojin stated, voice strained.

Chan shakily breathed out and drew a chair from the kitchen's table. He collapsed in it, a muffled sob mixed with a chuckle escaping his lips. "We are family. I have a cousin." he chanted like a mantra, incredulous.

Woojin smiled, happy for him. "Yes. He finally found his real family."

Chan stopped and finally looked at him with a frown. "He's always had one. What are you talking about?"

"Yes, I know that." Woojin chuckled. "But I mean, he and I are brothers by heart, by choice. You, you are his cousin, by blood. Felix was always afraid he would never belong with the human side of his family. But he does now!"

Chan's mouth opened and closed, but he couldn't find a thing to say. Instead, he just chuckled, still not believing that Felix was part of his family.

"I can't believe it either." he voiced his thoughts. "All my life, I thought I had no relatives, that they were all dead. But my aunt, she was never dead, she was just living here! And Felix he is..." he trailed off, wide determined eyes meeting Woojin's. "We need to find him. He needs to know."

Woojin smiled back at him, confident. "And we will. I believe you will find him. Now you must go, the Council's about to start. You don't wanna be late."

Chan hastily stood up and walked over, wrapping him in a tight hug. "I promise you I will. The Council will take a good decision and we'll retrieve him quickly."

Chan was out of the house before Woojin could add anything.

The wind blew in the now empty, silent house, causing shivers to run down his spine.
