Chapter 10: Lit Party

Have you ever seen a person throw up into their cup and drink it without realizing what they were drinking?

Well, I did.

This heavily intoxicated girl I passed by earlier had chunks of throw up laying on the top of her lip. It reminded me of a time when I would drink milk and I'd get this milk mustache in return. This girl had a barf mustache. It sort of looked like diarrhea. Brown, chunky, and very smelly.

"Hey! Are you listening to me?" Kristoff snapped his fingers at me.

Oh, right.

So, Cinnamon had successfully led me to the host of the party. He was upstairs with a group of people drinking and smoking in a private room. Sure, I could have found him myself without the help of Cinnamon, but I'd rather have someone else do it for me.

She interrupted his conversation with his buddies and started rambling her undying love for him and that I shouldn't be with him because she was better than me. The guy was stunned from the sudden confession but then he smirked and told her to come on over.

They made out for an uncomfortably long time while his friends were cheering them on. I just stood there, watching.

"So what does a cutie like you want with me?" Kristoff smirked while his girl laid on his lap with a smug expression. He started eyeing me up and down with a predator-like look which gave me the urge to walk up to him and shove my fingers into his eyesocket. He took a breath from his cigar and puffed out a cloud of smoke. "Hey, I bet you have a great body underneath that baggy jacket. You saving it for me, sweetcheeks?"

Ew.

His boys chuckled at his comment and high-fived him for some reason. I was starting to regret coming here. Wait, why did I come here, again? Oh, right, he's someone who hurt Audrey. Not that I came here for that particular reason. I just want to see what he's like and so far, I could see why she disliked him.

"No, baby! I thought we were going to be together!" Cinnamon whined. "Forget about her, Kristi. She's just a nerd."

Hah. Kristi.

Kristoff scoffed and shoved her off his lap. Don't worry, she didn't fall. "Sorry, Monica, but redheads are my type." Why did he kiss her then?

Cinnamon or Monica, whatever, glared at me and huffed as she walked out the door.

"So..." Kristoff began, "what is it that you want with me? You wanna get out of your nerdy bubble or something? Be with the popular boy?" He leaned back on his couch and took a puff of his cigarette. "I don't really know you but a name would be a start. Unless you don't mind me calling you sweet cheeks."

He chuckled and the other boys joined in. Why does it feel like I'm being interrogated by the Mafia? The dim-lit room must be putting on that kind of vibe.

I looked around and realized the area was sort of like an upstairs living room. Hence the couch, I suppose. There was also a TV and a pool table which was littered with empty bottles and cans.

"Where are your parents?" I asked. The boy simply laughed at my sudden question and shook his head. What's so funny? He wouldn't be laughing now once he sees all the mess he's brought into this house. Who's going to clean it up?

"My parents?" he scoffed. "They're out on a honeymoon which means I get all this, " he motioned his hands around, " to myself for a week. Awesome, isn't it, sweet cheeks?" Irresponsible parents. That might explain his peculiar personality.

I cringed, immensely disliked how the nickname slurred off his tongue. "It's Scarlett, by the way," I lied. I placed my hands in my pocket and relaxed my face to look disinterested. "I'm just going to get straight to the point. Do you know Audrey?" Just asking in case he happens to be some other Kristoff Gallinger.
