"You know, he's way more than I expected.", Jisoo smiled as she stirred her coffee, "Real perfect I would say.", Jisoo said as she looked up at her bestfriend, eyes sparkling. And Jinyoung's heart ached somehow at the sight, it killed his every being knowing he isn't the reason her eyes were sparkling with so much joy.

Jisoo was talking about Wonpil, Jinyoung's friend who Jinyoung himself had introduced her to. It was a month ago where Jinyoung has asked Wonpil to take Jisoo to the annual university dinner. Jinyoung had intended to go with Jisoo, but Jisoo had made him promised that he'd take Yeeun, a girl Jinyoung was interested in, or so he thought he was.

Jinyoung never thought Wonpil and Jisoo would hit it off so well by the end of the night, considering how the both of them hesitated to go with each other at first.

That night, was the same night Jinyoung had realised how in love he was with his bestfriend, and seeing Jisoo with someone else made his chest tightened, and he hated how selfish he was to only realise it that night. His mind then went back to that night.

Jinyoung scanned the room and realised that Jisoo and Wonpil had left the place, he sighed at that, he never thought that he'd feel this bothered the fact that Jisoo and Wonpil were having a great time with each other.

Jinyoung then felt the need to tell Jisoo, but he wasn't sure what the outcome would be or at least what outcome he wanted. He hated how selfish he was being but the ache was taking over him. He figured that he'd tell Jisoo before it's too late. And anything that happens afterwards, happens. Jinyoung then excused himself from Yeeun, telling her that he had to go home because he wasn't feeling too well, but the truth was, he was going to find Jisoo.

He then left the venue and he figured that Jisoo would only be at one place at this hour. The playground. It was his and Jisoo's special spot. The amount of talking and messing around they had done there, the deep talks, the dreams, the lending a shoulder to cry on sessions. It was their spot.

Jinyoung arrived at the playground and he was glad when he saw Jisoo there, by the swings but then his heart dropped when he saw Wonpil there with her too. They were laughing and talking and Jisoo already had his jacket on, considering the chilly night.

Jinyoung huffed lightly from afar. He figured that he was too late. He then walked back to the car, with a big lump in his throat, heart breaking.

He regrets for not telling her sooner, he regrets for lying to himself about how much this would hurt him eventually. He regrets thinking that Jisoo and him were a habit and that they'd always have each other.

Jinyoung went home that night, heartbroken and regretful, and feeling like the most foolish person in the world. Trying to accept the fact that he probably isn't the one for her.

Jinyoung was then snapped out of the painful memory, with the snapping of Jisoo's fingers.

"Are you okay?", Jisoo asked, concerned.

"Huh?", Jinyoung said, blinking, finally back to reality, "Yeah. Of course. I'm fine.", Jinyoung said with a tight smile.

"You don't seem to be these past few weeks. What's up Jinyoung?", Jisoo asked, tilting her head.

"Nothing. I'm fine. Don't worry.", Jinyoung said as he chuckled lightly, "I've just been tired.", Jinyoung smiled.

"Hey!", Jennie said, taking the seat in front of Jisoo, all smiles.

"Hello.", Jisoo said, "Why were you late?", Jisoo frowned.
