I leaned him against my kitchen counter, as I searched my freezer for peas, so that he could cool his hand.

My face lit up a bit as I grabbed a package of freezed peas, swirling around smiling a little before laying the peas down onto his hand. "Here ya go, Joshy."

He shivered, smiling because of the nickname, but getting used to the cold sensation and taking a couple of deep breaths.

I bit my lip and cleared my throat, trying to met his gaze but it was directed toward the floor. "It hurts a lot, eh?"

He ignored me and continued to stare at the ground. I frowned, grabbing a hold of his chin and pulling it up, our eyes locking.

"I didn't punched myself so don't be mad at me." I tried to lighten the mood and it worked.

A small smile crept onto his lips as he shook his head. "Wow, out of all the things you could've said you choose to say something like this?" We both laughed while I nodded and he shook his head. "You really are something, eh?"

I bit my lip, trying to contain my grin, before shrugging. "I indeed am not a normal girl."

"Normal's boring." He said and his hand slid up my arm, to my face, pulling a piece of hair behind my ear. But he did it on purpose. At the same time, he used his hand to examine my bruise, wiping away a bit of the make-up.
"You should've called me."

I swallowed, eyes watering, and shook my head, laying my hand over his and removing it from my face before intertwining our fingers. "I couldn't. I knew that you'd get mad and I didn't wanted you to get hurt."

He shook his head, his forehead pressing against mine as he came closer. "If it's for you than I'd like to get hurt. If it stops you from getting hurt than hell, hit me with a fucking train."

We both laughed and I couldn't help but feel my heart flutter. "No because if you're hurt than I'm in pain too so we wouldn't get anywhere."

"Angel." He whispered, his lips moving closer to mine as I panicked and took a step backwards, looking down at his hurted hand.

"Does it still hurt?" I cleared my throat, my voice way too quiet to be normal and he smirked before nodding.

"No, it's just pounding." He looked me up and down, licking his lip, before clearing his throat. "So, you wanna watch a movie? I know you wouldn't wanna go out with this mark on your face."

As I was about to answer, I've heard my two best friends coming down the steps and I swallowed, before turning to them.

"So I'm gonna go and kill Dylan, who's coming?" Kanzie asked, while Amanda smirked and high fived her, while jumping off the last two steps.

"Me, bitch! I'm gonna rip off his balls with my bare hands."

Josh laughed and nodded. "I'm coming with you. I'm in with killing him and we could bury him in the sway house's backyard."

Kanzie nodded eagerly and winked, while pointing her finger toward him. "That's the spirit!"

"Guys, stop!" I said, a smile plastered on my face. I knew they were just joking, but behind every joke is a bit of a truth. "If someone rips off his balls than that's me!"

Amanda cheered happily, before throwing her arms around me. "I'm happy that you're not like me. I would've buried myself in love movies and ice cream while ignoring everyone and crying the whole time." Then her eyebrows furrowed and she shrugged. "Wait, that's what I do almost everyday."

A laugh escaped me by her attempt to lighten the mood, and the others laughed along. "Well that's what I intended to do but I could hardly ignore my besties storming through my door, eh?"

We all laughed again, before taking a couple steps toward the living room and nodding toward the couch. "Guys, let's have a movie night."

"You mean movie day." Kanzie corrected me, before running to the couch and jumping onto it, lying down in a comfortable position. "I'm totally in."

Amanda nodded eagerly, her blonde hair swirling around her beautiful face, her eyes still a bit red, but every worry vanished, before lying down next to Mackenzie. "Me too."

Josh locked eyes with me, as we both nodded and smiled simultaneously, before he laid the peas back into the freezer and then took my hand, leading me to the couch.

We laid down next to each other, really close, me almost sitting on his lap, before I turned on the TV, going to Netflix and turning on Flipped, one of my favourite love movies of all the time.

"Oh, I Love that movie!" Amanda cheered and I nodded, before throwing Kanzie and Amanda, who cuddled up, a blanket and grabbing me and Josh one, snuggling up onto his warm chest and enjoying the feeling of his hand stroking my head.
