The whole car ride went silent. I could see the pain he went through. Under his eye was a cut and his hands were popped, while almost dried blood were under his nose, his lips and on his hands.

I took a deep breath and wanted to say something but he cut me off. "I'm sorry."

His voice was surprisingly quiet and soft as he turned around to face me, the car was already parked in front of my house. "I've completely lost it. And I'm sorry. I wouldn't have-."

I stopped him from talking by taking his hand careful not to hurt him and smiling at him. "It's okay, you just wanted to protect me." I laughed a little and shoved my elbow against his in a kindhearted manner. "But you indeed went full on badass with him."

My attend to lighten up the mood had worked, because he laughed, flinched a bit because of the pain, and then smiled a little, not too much to hurt himself further more. "Yeah and I'm kinda proud though."

I rolled my eyes and smacked his shoulder. "Stop being proud of punching someone. It's not a good thing."

"I know but you gotta admit, it still looked hot, eh?"

I blushed and fiddled with his hand as I bit my lip. "Kinda right though." His smirk grew wider and I tried to overplay it with letting go to him and opening the car door. "Let's get you some peas again, shall we?"

After we cooled his hand and I helped him with his cut, we laid down on the couch and watched some movies while my Grandma fangirled over the fact that he punched Dylan.

"That's what a real man does. Go get him before you waist his potential!" Was what she said and we both laughed, while Josh had shifted closer to me.

My mom and dad were proud of him too and intended that he'd stay for dinner which he of course wouldn't miss out.

We all laughed again and it felt like the world was okay. As if my life was good, and I wasn't just slapped by my (ex) boyfriend.

As the night went by, we watched another couple of movies, my mom and my dad and Me and Josh were cuddled up together while my Grandma ate all the food.

I felt myself getting sleepy as Josh stroked my hair and I leaned into him, getting closer before I felt the calming darkness sorround me.

I woke up to my phone buzzing on my bedside table wherefore I groaned and rolled onto the side, not opening my eyes and grabbing my phone blindly, answering the phone in a really tired and annoyed voice.

"Yeah?"

"Oh girl you sound terrible." I've heard the high voice of Avani and I shot up immediately, excited to talk to her. "What happened?"

I laughed and shook my head. "Oh no nothing you kinda woke me up but it's fine. What's up?"

As she continued to talk I tried to get rid off my hair tie that was around my hair, but leaving a messy bun at the end of my hair, looking like a bird nest. "So, Amanda told me that you just broke up with your boyfriend and I thought we could get your thoughts off of him by throwing another party. What'd you say?"

I got up, placing my phone onto my make-up table, putting it on speaker, before grabbing my brush and trying to free my hair from the hair tie. "Well if there's a party involved then I'm always in but don't worry. I'm fine, it was the best for me."

"Yeah he wasn't right for you." Her voice seemed amused and I got a bit suspicious.

"What?"

"Nothing, I just know someone who'd be."

I rolled my eyes already knowing who she meant as I managed to get the hair tie out of my now knotted hair. "Yeah, yeah I know. But I don't think I'm ready again."

"Wait and see."

Then we said our goodbyes, making sure I knew when to come, before I took a shower and got ready. I've slept in because we had the rest of the week off of school, so it was around 4 p.m. and the party would be at 6.

As I zipped my skirt shut, my phone began to buzz and I hurriedly answered, Amanda's nickname boo showing on the screen

As I zipped my skirt shut, my phone began to buzz and I hurriedly answered, Amanda's nickname boo showing on the screen.
"Hey girl!"

"Hey Babe, c'mon we're in front of your house." I've heard her voice before I smiled and ended the call, almost running down the stairs and pulling my shoes on.

"Have fun, and good luck with Josh!" I've heard my Grandma shout form the living room,  wherefore I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, whatever. Thanks!" I pulled the door shut before making my way to Mackenzie's car.

They decided to pick me up even if it was just a 5 minute walk and I was thankful. "Are you ready to party?"

They both looked at me, smiled and nodded, Kanzie pushing her foot into the accelerator, both of them screaming: "Hell yeah!"
