I swallowed and nodded, while biting my lip.
Shit, I cursed myself and immediately stopped. I got rid of this old habit after leaving him. Or I thought I got.
"Hey Josh." I smiled shyly, not wanting to be rude, and tucked my hair behind my ear before waving a little.

He seemed to be as shocked as me because he swallowed too and cleared his throat. "Wh-What're you doing here?" He scratched the back of his head and looked me in the eyes hesitantly. "N-not that I'm complaining, you know? I just-I just..
I just didn't expect to see you here or even to see you ever again after you and your family moved away."

My gaze dropped to the floor and I nodded. "Yeah, same with me. I've never- Well I don't know, I guess you do see yourself twice a life, eh?"

A small smile crept onto his lips and I couldn't help but smile too. "Well, you didn't lost your canadian slang after all those years in L.A, I see."

I nodded while biting my lip.
Stop it, Sophia. Calm down, I told myself. "Well yeah, you don't?"

He laughed. Oh my lords, how I've missed this laugh. "Of course, but I never talked as much slang as you did and apparently still do."

I smiled and felt my cheeks burn up. I felt like a studip 12 year old girl with her first crush.

I swallowed and tried to fight the knot in my throat. "A-And you? Why are you here, I mean in L.A.?"
Just as I spoke those words out loud I knew how dumb they were and I shook my head, clearly embarrassed by my weird behaviour. "Sorry, it's kinda obvious why you're here."

He smiled at me and I could feel my heart skip a beat. "Yeah, no, no eh I... I'm going to move to L.A. too, y'know?" And again, he scratched the back of his head and licked hips lips.

Oh my god how and why was he still so beautiful?!

I've snapped out of my embarrassing thoughts as I realised, what he just said. "You-you're really moving to L.A?"

He nodded and I raised my eyebrows. "Oh wow, well that's cool!" I cleared my throat because I couldn't trust my voice. I was just too overwhelmed. "I-if you're ever in the need of someone canadian who shows you around, I'm just living 5 minutes away."

He nodded and smiled. "Sure, that'd be lovely."

I bit my lip again and I saw him licking over his own, before he opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by the sudden appearance of Amanda. A really drunk Amanda.

"Man, Sophia! Why are you here? How did you get here? It's so nice to see you here!" She slurred every word and spoke pretty slowly while burping a little bit in between the words. She threw her arms around my neck and I could smell the alcohol from her breath that tickled my neckline. "You look... incredibleeeeee. Soooo seeeeexy."

She turned her head to Josh and smiled at him. "Don't you think, Josssssssh?"

He swallowed and I felt his burning gaze on me, as he looked me up and down. He licked his lip again and then nodded, really slowly. "Y-Yeah. Just as beautiful as I remembered her."

I could feel my cheeks burn up but I tried to act over it and turned my attention back to Amanda. "Am, how many drinks did you have?"

"Wait!" She shouted and I winced a bit at the sudden loud voice of hers. "You guys know each other?" She looked between me and Josh and before he could answer, I nodded quickly, before pulling her closer to the entrance.

"Yeah, but where's Kanzie?" As I passed the door, I really tried not to touch Josh but my waist still brushed against his leg in a soft and short way. Bit still, I touched him. I touched him the first time again after almost five years. And now he's back. Back in the same town as me.

"She's making out with some random dude." She answered and we went more inside of Anthony's House, while I felt Josh's gaze still burning through me.

"Where?"

She looked around and pointed to a door at the right side of the huge hallway. "The pool."

I quickly nodded, before opening the door. Almost immediately, I could feel my ears ringing because of the loud music and all the shouting and laughing. But I enjoyed it. I loved parties.

As I wanted to go further into the room and out of it to get to the backyard with the pool, Amanda tripped over her own feet and fell. Well, almost. Because, out of the nowhere, two big hands grabbed her by her shoulders and steadied her.

I looked up and saw Josh, who was already looking at me and smiling. He pushed her softly to the couch in the corner of the room and laid her down before laying blankets over her. "Here ya go, girl."

She smiled into the soft pillow and nodded sleepily. "Thanks, Josh."

I smiled down at her, then met gazes with Josh and bit down onto my lip. "Yeah, thank you. That was really nice."

He smirked and winked at me and I blushed. "I've always been nice, Angel."

That nickname.

Well, not actually my nickname but my second name. Only he and my family knew about it. And of course my teacher and doctor and everyone who had to know.

I shivered slightly before turning around and nodding into the direction of the pool. "We should go to the others, eh?"

I could feel his presence coming closer, his heat and smell crashing into me, while he pressed his chest against my back.

He leaned forward, brushing some pieces of my hair behind my ear and his lips slightly touching my ear. "Yeah, but I'm gonna get some time alone with you too, eh?"

I smiled and closed my eyes at the hot breath at my ear and the lustful sensation I've had in my stomach.

Stop it, you have a boyfriend!, I told myself but I couldn't help but lean into his touch and getting comfortable around him. Just like the old days.

Suddenly, he stepped at my side and I had to steady myself to not fall backwards onto the hard floor. I already missed his scent and his warmth.

I didn't realised how much I've missed him.

I looked down at his outstretched hand, then my gaze met his and a smirk laid across his smooth lips.

I bit my lip and laid my hand into his, enjoying the feeling of his hand in mine. He squeezed my hand a little before he began to lead me out of the house and into the backyard, where everyone else was.

All eyes turned to us and I could feel my cheeks burn up before I smiled. Let the party begin.
