The room was a kind of study. It had a desk in the far corner and a bookshelf opposite covered the whole wall. The other wall were a deep red wallpaper. The wooden floorboards creaked under my feet as a walked towards the door. I opened it a little to see a crowd of people before closing it.

I didn't know where I was. I sat under the desk and tried to organize my head. My thoughts couldn't make sense of what just happened and what to do next.  "Everything's going to be okay," I whispered as tears trickled down my cheeks.

I wanted to go home. I thought how just two days ago, I was home with Newt and Bunty and everything was fine. If Queenie and Jacob hadn't turned up, I wouldn't be here. But then we shouldn't of befriended them and we shouldn't of met them. But then Newt shouldn't have found Frank to avoid going to New York. But then mum and I shouldn't of left him alone so he wouldn't of got lost. The whole chain of events leading to this very moment crowded my head.

Suddenly the door opened. A man in all black walked in and knelt down in front of the desk. I pushed myself closer to the wall even though Grindelwald had seen me.

"There's no need to be scared little one, I'm not going to hurt you," he said calmly. I didn't say anything. "Come with me." he held out a pale hand.

I don't know why I did, but I crawled out from under the desk. I didn't take his hand though. He got up and I followed him out of the study. It was a big house with lots of rooms. We went down a couple of corridors with the same red wall paper. Grindelwald stopped at a door and knocked twice.

A woman opened the door. She had long ginger hair and wore  a pretty blue dress. She looked at me then at Grindelwald. "Really? I don't know her!" she sounded annoyed.

"Give it two days," was Grindelwald's reply before  he walked away and left me with this woman. She dragged me into her room and got down to my level.

"Who are you?" she said looking me dead in the eyes. I looked away. "Megan Scamander," I said shyly looking at my feet.

"Whose your father?" she sounded desperate and hopeful.

"Newt Scamander. What do you want?" I asked still not looking up. The woman paused for a moment, the serious look slipped off her face and she hugged me.

"Oh of course you won't recognize me!" She smiled quickly letting go and stepping back. In less than a second, her skin turned to black scales, her ginger hair disappeared. A black dragon stood before me.

"Mum?"
