Queenie made something that looked like a cottage pie but it tasted to good for me to care. I couldn't help but notice that Newt hadn't touch it yet. "Teen and I aren't talking." Queenie started tucking a napkin into Jacob's shirt.

"Why?" I asked after swallowing a mouthful of mash.

"Oh, well, you know... She found out about Jacob and I seeing each other, and she didn't like it cause of the law. Not allowed to... Oop!" Queenie took the knife and fork out of Jacob's hands and started cutting up the food. "Not allowed to date No-Majs, not allowed to marry them. Blah, blah, blah. Well, she was all in a tizzy anyway cause of you,"

"Me?" Newt looked up at her but I couldn't take my eyes off Jacob. Something was wrong about him.

"Yeah, you Newt. It was in Spellbound. Here. I brought it for you." Queenie summoned a book with her wand from her suitcase and made it land on the table. The pages of the book turned rapidly until Queenie put her wand down the prevent the pages turning any more. "Newt Scamander with fiancee Leta Lestrange, brother Theseus and unknown woman." It was a photo of Newt and Leta stood in a library with Theseus on the right and Bunty hiding behind  a poster on the left.

"Theseus is marrying Leta not Newt," I said with the last spoonful of  meat.

"Oh! Oh... Oh, dear," for the first time since she arrived, she stopped smiling and sat down next to Jacob. "Well... See, Teen read that, and she started dating someone else. He's an Auror his name is Achilles Tolliver," Jacob started laughing at the name. There was really something up with him. "Anyway... We are real exited to be here, Newt. This is a... Well, it's a special trip for us. You see, Jacob and I, we're getting married!" Jacob turned to face Newt as if he had only just heard the news himself.

"I'm marrying Jacob!" he cried before tipping a whole glass of  wine over his head. The whole while smiling crazily at us. Queenie shot confetti from her wand and laughed. Jacob sighed and there was a short silence before Queenie  suddenly went all nervous. "What? I have not." she patted Jacob's forehead with the napkin.

"Will you stop reading my mind?" Newt replied rather annoyed. Another silence.

Newt something's up with Jacob, I said to Newt's mind slightly annoyed that I was finding it so easy now.

"Oh, that is an outrageous accusation. Look at him. He's just happy. He's just so happy," she stared into Jacob's eyes lovingly for a moment.

"Can you both stay out of my mind, please?" Newt was trying to hide his frustration. "Then you won't mind if I, um..." Newt stood up and took his wand out.

Queenie got up and quickly stood in front of Jacob,"Please don't."

"Queenie, you've got nothing to fear if he wants to get married. We can just lift the enchantment and he can tell us himself," Queenie looked at Jacob as if saying goodbye to an old friend and quietly stepped aside and Newt prepared for the spell.

"Whatchu you got there?"  Jacob was acting stranger than ever now, "Whatchu gonna do? Whatchu gonna do with that, Mr Scamander?" Jacob grinned kind of like a rabbit.

Newt spoke clearly. "Surgito" and the tip of his wand glowed a little. Suddenly Jacob started making funny noises and wriggled in his seat. A pink mist was quickly sucked out of Jacob and formed a violent beating heart a few feet above his head before exploding. Jacob looked as though he had just woken up from a bad dream and took a moment to look around.

"Congratulations on your engagement, Jacob,"  I whispered, a bit scared from the reaction of the spell.

"Wait, what?" Jacob said rather confused. Queenie gave a look like a guilty child and stood close to the door.

"Oh, no. You didn't. Queenie. One second," Jacob hastily got up from his chair and went after Queenie who was gathering her things and coat with a similar rush. "It's very nice to see you. Where am I right now?" Jacob turned to us.

"London!" I said with a smile as Jacob walked over to the door.

"Oh! I always wanted to go here! Queenie!" and with that he had gone. I bounded over the window and watched Queenie and Jacob yell at each other in the dark, wet street but it had stopped raining for a moment. I could here Newt murmuring spells and moving around behind me. He then dashed back down the stairs. It was only a few moments before Queenie disparated  and Jacob came inside completely drenched.

"That was quick, Newt's gone downstairs," I said quickly before going down the steps myself. Jacob followed and was quickly overwhelmed but the maze of habitats. "Newt, Jacob's back!" I yelled down to him.

"Down here, Jacob. So I'll be with you in a second!" Newt yelled back. I raced down to where he was gathering equipment into the case and scattering notes for Bunty. "Queenie left a postcard. Tina's in Paris looking for Credence," Newt looked over to us from the work area.

"Genius," Jacob cheered. "Queenie's going straight for Tina. Okay, we're going to France, pal. Hold on. I'll get my jacket."

Newt shut the case before whipping out his wand, "I've got it." he said retrieving it with a simple spell and dropping it onto Jacob's arm. Then Newt used his wand to send a gale that then dried him off.

"Beautiful,"  Jacob said while neatening his clothes.  Newt grabbed his case and in a sudden burst of excitement we ran out into the bright Devon countryside.
