looking at the night sky, smiling to herself.
lauren was in pure joy.
it had been a long time since that one night, let's just say they had a lot of work in progress.

"thinking too hard?" she heard behind her.
nick was grabbing a few things from the trunk of his car to finish their date.
"a little." she slightly blushed.
nick came over and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her forehead.
they loved it when it was just them two and nobody else around.

"i love you so much." nick murmured.
lauren felt her cheeks heat up even more, pecking nick on the lips.
when nick kissed back the peck lasted longer than it was supposed to.
though it was a surreal moment, lauren had felt like she was on top of the world.

"can i say something," she pulled away.
nick had a worried look on his face and lauren giggled.
"don't worry it's not bad."
interlocking their hands, a smile grew on her face once again.

"you mean the absolute world to me. i really can't imagine myself with anyone else, spending time with you makes me happy. being your girlfriend makes me more than happy, nick i love you so much."

"i don't," he said causing lauren to let go of his hands.
"if there was a word to say more than love. i would use that to describe my feelings for you. i love you more than anything, i will always put you first baby." he kissed her hand and pulled something out of his pocket.

a phone ringing came from a few feet away and lauren looked over at nick.
"it's yours."
she said and he crawled over to grab his phone.
he got up walking over towards the car, as the call seemed important.
lauren watched as his facial expressions dropped and he continued to speak to whoever it was on the phone.

when he finished the call, he walked over to lauren.
"pack up, brandon's in the hospital."
the two cleaned up their unfinished date and nick fiddled with a little box in his pocket.

arriving at the hospital, the boys were in the waiting room.
"where is he?" lauren frantically asked the guys.
"room 432, i think laur should see him first."
austin said.

lauren looked to nick for approval and he nodded his head, she then walked away to find room 432.
she knocked on the door lightly and a faint "come in," was heard.

"brandon?" her eyes began to water seeing him in his state.
"laur," a weak smile appeared on his face.
"what are you doing here?"

"i should be asking you the same thing but i came because i care. i came because you're my best friend." she held his hand.
"i just got into an accident, it's not that bad."

"not that bad? brandon you could've been killed, then what would i do without you."
she cried.
"i didn't think anyone would care, i mean-"

"no brandon, we all care. all of us are here, not out of spite or pity. we're all here because we love you, i love you. please."
she began to cry once again.
"laur stop crying." he said softly.

she shook her head continuing to cry and brandon scooted over in his hospital bed,
"laur come here." he said.
"no i'm going to hurt you."
"no you won't, just come here."

she climbed on the hospital bed and brandon wrapped his arm around her, lauren put her head lightly on his chest.
"i could've lost you, we all could've lost you."
she cried and brandon began to shush her, massaging her head to calm her down.
