lauren pulled up to the prettymuch house, taking out nick's old key that he'd given her while the two were still together.
she unlocked it and walked through the front door, going to the kitchen she saw a shirtless nick.

he turned his head as soon as she walked in, shaking his head.
"what are you doing here?" he said repulsively, taking lauren aback.
"nick, i never cheated on you. i loved you for so many reasons, i still love you for more than many. i came back and dropped out of that stupid school, it wasn't my dream nick. you're my dream." tears began to fall down her cheeks.

"lauren, i'm sorry. it's just not going to work, i've done a lot independently and i've grown."
"nick, c'mon." she sniffled.
"i'm being serious, i just don't see an us anymore. you leaving has affected me, good and bad. i just can't do this, lauren."
he motioned his hand between them.

"you're being serious?" she scoffed.
"i am, you should go."
"nick, you don't know how much you mean to me. how much i loved us together, how much we planned on being together after i was done with school." she cried.
"people change lauren, please just go." he put his hand on her shoulder.
"no i'm not going to leave until-"
"nick? who's there?" a female voice called out.
lauren pushes nick off of her and she kept eye contact, glaring at him.

"no, it's okay i'm fine nani." he called out.
lauren was sent over the edge, her stomach felt empty, her heart dropped, she cried even harder but nothing could come out of her mouth.
"laure-"
"no," she could barely even speak.
"this was a mistake." she said only barely, rushing out of the house as nick stayed in the kitchen.

she ran to her car, locking the doors as she got in. fully letting out her cries, hitting both her hands on the steering wheel.
little did she know, nick was watching her.
he had felt her pain but he was over it now,
relationships aren't healthy for him.

nothing really is healthy for him anymore.
she cried so hard, letting everything out that she had been bottling up.
there was a knock on her window, thinking it was nick, she ignored it.
"laur, it's b." brandon yelled at the window.
she looked up, unlocking the car.

brandon got into the passenger side and she sobbed even harder.
"i'm not going to say i told you so, but i am. i told you to move on laur, we all did."
"you don't even understand there's another girl in there." she choked on her words.
"oh you mean n-"
"brandon, shut up."

he tried to hold back a laugh, keeping a smile on his face.
"lauren that's his-"
"brandon, i said shut up!" she yelled.
"his aunt." he muttered then bursting into a loud laugh.
lauren's eyes went wide and she shook her head, wiping away her tears.
"wait what?"
"nani, is his aunt. she's staying here along with his mom because they didn't want to pay for the hotel."
"doesn't matter, he still said things." she pouted and crossed her arms.
