I see the smile spread across your face and hear the excitement in your voice. I felt the surge of the energy and the warmth recharging my soul. But just as quickly as the happiness ebbed, it flowed out of your tired face and drained me along with it. A few well placed words and a reminder of the long anticipated moment and the joy returns to your face. I watch you light up with excitement and I feel a searing heat like from the sun radiate from your smile. I bathe in it's glory and burn it into my memory. I hold onto that high as long as I can because it is not often that I get to feed on the happiness.
