Of course I never expected neither Will nor Hazel would be able to find me soon enough, but Halloween is soon over and the Quidditch match between Slytherin and Gryffindor is coming up soon.
I guess wherever anyone is... sports events will be taken seriously. So seriously that Malfoy came up with a ridiculous plan to unseat the Keeper, Ron Weasley.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but there is no way that I'm singing that," I said, as they neared to the Quidditch match.
The only good thing about that sport was that everyone was dialing back their vigilance on me. They are all so focused on the outcome of the match that biased actions and cheating here and there happened all the time. It made everyone more busy and more fired up to notice anything outside Quidditch.
But...
"Yeah, it's kinda ridiculous," Daphne admitted.
"But if it beats Gryffindor, it is totally worth it," Blaise said with clenched fists.
"Let's hope that Malfoy was right on this one," Micheal said, "Then, it's just one step to the Cup!"
"But I'm sure Gryffindor won't be unseated that much just by Malfoy's plan! I mean... they have been practicing non-stop that even those meetings have been put on hold," Daphne said.
"That isn't surprising at all. Who doesn't want to win in Quidditch?" Blaise said.
"Yeah, but let's just say that I miss the DA a bit," Daphne admitted, subconsciously fingering something inside her pocket.
The DA meetings were always absolute successes, learning many good spells and to perfection. They were also fun, which us Slyhterins admitted to the surprise of other houses. They also slowly accepted us into the fold, and everything was made comfortable. But somehow it raised slight suspicion among the rest of the school, mostly whenever Harry came up to talk to me about the next meeting time.
In order to resolve that, during the fourth meeting, Hermione made coins that would remind us of meeting days and time. A huge convenience for all of us, though touching it while it started telling us the meeting time and day was a burn to the fingers.
I sighed instead, "I just feel like it's going to be a cringe-fest. I mean, why do I want to sit among everyone while they do that? That's not how I imagine watching my first Quidditch match. In fact, I feel like I wanted to skip it."
Blaise looked shocked and clapped me on the shoulder, "You can't do that. That's blasphemy. Don't even try skipping this! Otherwise, I swear I will put the Leg Locker Curse on you and drag you all over the Quidditch pitch so you can watch it!"
"It's not that big of a deal!" Daphne protested.
"Come on, Daphne, Nico hasn't watch a Quidditch match in his life! We will make him a fan of it yet!" Micheal argued back.
I completely doubted that they will make a big fan of me at all. In fact, who would be a fan of a Zeus related sport that scares you to death?
But between going or skipping, I rather go. The only upside of going is not being jinxed.
But to escape all this, I rather Will and Hazel get here before I have to suffer anything.
***
Unfortunately, my wish absolutely did not come true.
Of course.
Instead, I was forced to don a 'Weasley is Our King' badge, sitting alongside Daisy, Blaise and Micheal. With Blaise and Micheal keeping an eye on me, and the Slytherins singing (with the exception of few including me) while I watch a flying sport, it felt like the last thing I wanted to do.
