Right now, we were doing DA as a spirited welcome for the first day of school after Christmas but dampened after that attack of Dumbledore. It spread like wildfire and it gave to rumors. Some people think it was an assassination from the Ministry to silence the old fool, others just a prank considering the circumstances. But everyone was leaning toward the assassination. There was a hole to that though.
"What was that sphere?" people had whispered.
It was completely new to them, especially pure-blood wizards but a few Muggle-borns had said it looked like some machine based on those sci-fi they have watched and which the pure-bloods solely lacked. Yet they denied.
"How could technology worked in a place like this?!" they had cried.
And this was how the first day was: rumors, arguments and mysteries.
Even in DA when we should be focused on spells. I couldn't help but look at Leo from time to time where he looked abashed whenever he met my eyes.
So troublesome.
In the end, I told all of them in the RoR that we were going to lay off for a while. I especially emphasized that Leo tried not to destroy Hogwarts while we are stuck at school, especially when his own plan on the spot to steal the Elder Wand failed.
"I got it," Leo said, "I will not destroy the school, as boring as History of Magic or DADA was. But I will prank on Toad from time to time."
"As long as it's not extreme," I said.
"Fine by me. I have a few inventions I want to try out..." Leo said, leaving a chill in everyone's spine.
"Gods only know that they will be onto us any minute, but for now, we need to work out how to get the Elder Wand. Dumbledore's more shrewd than we thought," I said.
"Well, my first invention didn't work, maybe my next one..." Leo said.
"No," I said firmly, "Overall, it will be better to do it in the dead of the night. Because no one will be the wiser, correct?"
"Yeah, but there is that gargoyle," Hazel said.
"No problem, I will just ask the ghosts," I said casually. The rest of them jerked.
"You can do that? They don't avoid you or anything?" Hazel said, shocked.
"Hmm... they are more servile to me. A different change from the rest of the ghosts that I met," I said.
"Then, why didn't you ask the ghosts to help you in the first place?" Leo asked.
"Even if they know something about 'us'," I started, the rest knowing that I meant 'demigods', "it's best to keep our business low profile even among ghosts. The less they know, the better. But right now, I find it useful to inquire."
"Then, once we managed to get past the gargoyle, then, what do we do?" Calypso asked.
"Well..." I started, and we began discussing about ways to get the Elder Wand with many possibilities from that point. It was until a few hours later that we went with a concrete plan and went to sleep for the next day.

The rumors were still continuing about the little trouble with Dumbledore, but nothing could be done with it. It only warranted to be more careful with our antics in the quest of retrieving the rest of the Deathly Hallows.
I have already asked a ghost about Dumbledore's gargoyle and in a shy way, told me about it needing a password. Just shy of screaming every password to the gargoyle looking like a lunatic, we needed some more information.
