Nico's POV
Unbelievable. Utterly unbelievable.
Thank Gods for my boyfriend, Dr. Annoying... He really is my saviour. Without his words, I probably would have done something extremely regretful.
But it was really a dirty move, using the Dementors to distract my attention from the Imperius Curse and thus making me vulnerable...
Everyone was recovering from the surprise shadow travel.
But I quickly faced Voldemort, hoping to quickly put him out of his misery.
Finally... finally all the Horcruxes are gone and this time, nothing was clinging him to this plane except for the soul inside his body.
Will, Hazel, Calypso, Leo and I quickly made our move. This could be said to be absolutely similar to the battle with Dumbledore, except this time around, I got back-up and we aim to kill this time. No mercy!
Unfortunately, Voldemort also aims to kill. I guess that makes all the difference between him and Dumbledore.
I immediately wasted no time shooting a spell toward Voldemort, not yet aiming to kill, but rather stun him. If Voldemort was going down, might as well go down the ol' fashion way.
Meaning he was clung to the shadows, which was happening now as he dodged my spell which he didn't anticipate, as I approached him and pointed my sword to his chest. I swear that I could feel the soul inside squirming and apparently Voldemort could feel the same fear.
Good. He deserves to feel that after he Imperiused me and nearly killed Will.
Unfortunately, despite the fear Voldemort must be feeling, he will not back down, hissing as the shadows turned into snakes and charging toward me and my friends. Leo took out his ray gun as he zapped the snakes into harmless chickens.
Voldemort used this distraction to aim a Killing Curse at me but I deflected it back to Voldemort with my sword, who swiftly dodged but there was a cruel smile playing on his face as he spoke.
"You really think you can kill me...?" Voldemort asked.
I frowned, a bit surprised. I'm not sure about the nature of Horcruxes but surely any attachment to life severed could be felt... right? Unless the soul split proved too much of a toll for his body that he can no longer feel the total disappearance of his soul? Then... he really has no clue, which might be the reason why there were no Death Eaters on my tail when I started hunting down Horcruxes from the very beginning.
They only started about during the ring, and that was after my little display in Hogsmeade.
Really, how ignorant can Voldemort be? Simply sad, and they call him a feared Dark wizard. I find that laughable.
"So you really don't know? You can die ignorant, then," I said, with an indifferent smile.
But apparently Voldemort was not stupid, as his eyes widened at my statement as he said softly, "You don't mean..."
I just smiled as I bring the sword down to the ground and caused a crack on the ground with skeletons crawling out of it and moving toward Voldemort.
Voldemort decided to immediately retaliate with making fire appear out of nowhere, but it was not usual fire. In fact, the fire seemed... alive somehow as the fire formed itself into gigantic packs of fiery beasts: flaming serpents, Chimeras, dragons and birds of prey.
Voldemort seemed to have control over such fire as it was raging to the demigods.
I tried to shoot a water spell towards the fire, but to no avail, much to my shock. In a frenzy state, I looked toward Leo and Hazel, resident fire and magic experts.
