💜CHAPTER THIRTEEN💜.

Anna,

It felt so good but it was wrong. What was I doing?l Shoving my tongue down Timi's throat? I broke the kiss and looked into into his eyes. I didn't even know if he felt what I felt for him and then I ran.

I panicked and I ran and I didn't stop till I was in the toilet. I entered one of the cubicles, locked the door and placed my head on the door. I tried to steady my breath as my mind drifted to the kiss.

After a few minutes I walked back to the class. The bell went off so everyone was returning to the class. I walked to my sit and sat down. I placed my head on the desk, Becca touched me. "Where have you been? Timi was looking for you earlier."

"Library and I saw him." I replied.

"But what's wrong?"

"Nothing." I replied.

"Anna what's wrong? Is it your dad?"

"Becca I said nothing!" I snapped at her and then regretted almost immediately "I'm sorry."

She shook her head. "It's fine, but you should know that I'm your friend and you can tell me anything. I won't judge."

I nodded. "It's Timi. I kissed him." I blurted out.

Becca mouth flew open in surprise and she laughed. "Seriously? Give me full gist na!"

I told her everything that happened. Well most. I didn't tell her about Timi's father abusing him.

"Well he kissed you back so why are you sad?" She asked.

"Everything's happening to fast. Besides I don't trust Timi."

"What of Dozie?"

I sighed. "Dozie is really a nice guy, he's fucking fine but I don't feel anything for him."

"If you really like Timi maybe you should give him a chance."

"Give him a chance? He hasn't even told me he liked me."

"Maybe he would have if you didn't run," Our CRK teacher entered the class." You should talk to him about it."

During lesson break I went to Timi's class to apologize for leaving the way I left earlier. I saw him outside his class and he was flirting around with the new girl in his class. The grin on his face was annoying .

At that moment I wished I could slap the smirk off his face. Maybe I was a fool for even thinking I  could have a chance with him.

I was surprised to see Juliet waiting for me after school. "Hope I'm safe?"

"Can't I go home with my sister again?"

As we went home, she told me about her classmates and her friends. The guy she was crushing on was into someone else. Which was kind of like the same thing happening to me.

When we got home, Daniel was with a suitcase in the living room. Mom was around. "Thank God I saw you guys before I left." Daniel said.

I smiled but it didn't reach my eyes. I was going to miss him when he go to school. I hugged him and said my goodbyes. Without changing out of our uniform, Juliet and I followed him to the bus stop while Mom drove him to school.

After taking a shower and changing into my house wear there was a knock on the door. "Juliet check who's there!"

After a minute I heard a knock on my room door. "Juliet come in it's not locked."

It wasn't Juliet. It was Dozie. I quickly got up from my bed. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You haven't been picking my calls so I decided to check on you." He replied

I nodded. "Sorry I've been busy with school.

"It's fine. How have you been?" He asked "Can I sit?" He pointed to my sofa.

"Sure." He sat down, "Been good, you?"

"Fine oh. I've just been busy with school. WAEC and JAMB is in a month."

"Oh," I said remembering that the exams usually started ending of March or beginning of April.

"Yeah. I've missed you. Ever since our date I can't stop thinking about you."

"Dozie I ..."

"You don't like me right?" Yes I screamed in my head.

"Don't say that."I said trying to sugarcoat things.

"Then what?"

"I told you. School."

"Fine then go on a date with me this weekend."

I sighed. But why wasn't I accepting already? Timi didn't want me so why shouldn't I move on? "Okay I will."

"Thanks."

We talked for an hour before he left. He didn't try making advances at me and I appreciated him for that. I decided to give him a chance. Maybe if I spent more time with I'd learn to feel what he feels for me.

By eight mom wasn't back so I and Juliet decided to buy fried fish just outside our estate to eat with garri.

The evening breeze was too sweet.Later I got a call from Becca, she asked if we had assignment.

On our way back I heard my name. It was Timi.

"Juliet be going I'm coming."

She nodded and left. I stopped waiting for Timi to catch up with me.

"Hey." he said.

"What do you want?"

"Why are you acting grumpy now? I thought we had a moment earlier today at school."

I laughed. "Which foolish moment?"

"Foolish? Anna we kissed!"

"It was a mistake. What drove me to kissing you was pity." I replied. Timi's expression showed that he was surprised at what I said. I just wanted him to leave me alone.

"Pity? And here I was thinking you felt what I feel for you."

"I don't. So let's forget about the kiss okay? It never happened!"

He shrugged. "What kiss?" And with that he left.

I felt guilty immediately. I overreacted. "Wait he said he liked me," I said to myself. Maybe I shouldn't have told him I felt pity on him. Yes I did but that wasn't why I kissed him.

I kissed him because I liked him and I just ruined any chances of being with him.
