I spent two weeks in my room without coming out after my mom's death, I didn't eat much and I only talked to my sister. I didn't go to school and I got so many calls from my friends at school that I had to switch off my phone.

After two weeks I came out of my room. I went to the living room. My dad was there, i wasn't used to seeing him around but I wasn't complaining. I just missed my mom.

"Good morning".

"Finally you came out, how are you feeling? Are you hungry? There's food in the kitchen".

"Daddy I'm fine" I replied.

He nodded "I'm sorry for leaving you guys. I was just so traumatized when I lost my job and everything I've worked for".

He sighed "but I'm never leaving again, especially now. My only regret is that I didn't realize my mistake soon".

I cried and hugged him. He patted me on the head and then he released me. I sat beside him and watched football with him. I was suddenly interrupted by the chiming of my phone. It was a message from Becca.

Becca💕: should I come over?

Me: nah, my dad is home, I'll come to your side

Becca💕: Aiit. Maybe we can both go to Timi side

My eyes lit up in excitement.

Me: cool. I'm coming😁

"Dad I want to go see a friend so I can collect her notes and copy everything I've missed" I said facing my dad to watch his reaction. My dad used to be strict and never allowed us go out before.

He looked at me and I smiled "please?".

"Fine, drop your Friend's number in my phone so I will know who to call if you're not back".

I sighed but didn't complain.

I ran up to my room and contemplated on what to wear to a while. I was nervous as I thought of Timi. I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed how skinny I was looking.

What if he hates me? I've been snubbing him for two weeks.

I wore a blue jean skirt and black shirt. I wore my gladiator sandals, packed my hair and then I locked my door behind me. On my way down stairs, I decided check on Juliet. I opened her door and saw her sleeping figure.

I closed the door slowly and then left the house. I got a text from my dad as I was about to board a bus.

Daddy: come home early.

I laughed.

I got to Becca house soon, her parents were not around and she was with Michael. As soon as she saw me, she gave me a hug.

"I'm so sorry about your loss" I hugged her back and fought the urge to cry. I just nodded "thanks".

Michael hugged me too. I smiled and thanked him. After talking for a while, we decided to head to Timi's new house.
