Description: you and Legolas go on a hunt and you get hurt.

 "My king!" You shouted from the courtyard " when shall you grace us with your presence" 

The fellow guard around you laughed. Everyone knew how long it took Legolas to get ready. 

 "Coming Hiril vuin" he said smiling as he walked down the stairs into the courtyard . 

He came up to you and planted a kiss on your forehead before turning and checking his horse. 

"Are we ready to leave" he questioned. 

"Just waiting on you my majesty" one of the guards answered. 

"Then let us be on our way" he said , mounting his horse. You smiled at him as you mounted yours and ride next to him as your horses ran out of the courtyard. 

It has been several hours and you still had not seen any orc packs. Finally, Legolas called for a break. 

You all slid off your horses allowing them to wander into the meadow and graze there. Helping yourselves to lembias bread and water you spread out and laid back in the grass to soak in the sun, with one elf standing watch. 

"Hiril vuin what thoughts are you thinking?" Legless asked placing himself next to you on the grass . 

"Nothing much" you said "I just wished these orcs would stop invading our borders" 

"Your wish is my wish, beloved" 

His hand runs from your ear to your chin and he leans in a nd plants a soft kiss on the top of your ear. 

Your cheeks heat up as you look into his eyes and you are just about to lean up and press your lips on his when you hear a shout 

"Arrrrrrggggghhhh" 

You leapt up grabbing your bow from beside you. The other elves around you do the same. The elf that was on guard has an arrow through his skull and a lack of orcs rushed from the treeline. 

Legolas pushes you slightly behind him as he reaches for an arrow. He knows he can't keep you out of the fight so he says 

"Stay beside me" 

You nod as you string your bow and proceed to shoot the oncoming orcs. 

They were now closer so after about two arrows you decided to switch to your swords. 

Drawing them you leap into battle slashing at one of the bigger orcs. You see Legolas out of the corner of your eye also taking on an orc but he doesn't notice the one coming up behind him. 

"Noooo" you about as you drop one of your swords and quickly throw one of your daggers into the orcs head. Distracted from the orc you were fighting you felt it's sword go into your side. 

"Y/N!" Legolas screams , slamming his sword into the orc he was fighting and running over to you. You slowly start to fall and your lids start to close. 

A few hours later...

 You woke up blinking in the bright sunlight that came through the window. You look around noticing you are in the healing room. 

Sitting up a little you see Legolas's warm head laying in you lap. Both his hands holding yours. You slip one out and began to stroke his hair, tucking it behind his ears. 

He stirs, lifting his head towards you. 

"Y/N!" He exclaims jumping up a hugging you gently " I was so worried " he sobbed "I wasn't there to protect you and it was my fault you got hurt hiril vuin" 

You pulled him away from you and held his face as you look into his beautiful eyes.

"Beloved it is not your fault, I was the one who got distracted" you said sternly 

tears were flooding the eyes of both of you. He cupped your face and wiped away your tears with his thumbs.

"I love you so much Y/N" he confessed "I could not live with myself if something happened to you" 

You nodded " I love you too Legolas" kissing his nose softly before touching his forehead with yours. 

You both say there for what seemed like hours breathing together and looking into each other's eyes. FInally, you pulled him to you and wrapped the blankets around both of you. 

Cuddling into his side, his arm wrapped protectively around you. Kissing your forehead as he whispered "I love you" you drifted off to sleep happily.
