Let Me Tell You...

TJ had been feeling very isolated during the previous week. His love for Cyrus had grown far too big to be ignored, and he so desperately wanted to tell him how he felt.

That wasn't going to be easy, seeing as Cyrus was pretty much always around his friends, so finding a way to tell him was very difficult.

Cyrus was also feeling confused. He really didn't know whether his feelings for TJ were simply platonic, or much more than that.

TJ decided that he wasn't going to hang around any longer, it was time to tell Cyrus exactly how he felt.

He walked over to where Cyrus was with Andi, Buffy and Jonah. He didn't want to let another moment pass.

"Cyrus, can I talk to you?" TJ wondered.

"Sure" Cyrus agreed.

"Alone" TJ clarified.

"No problem" Cyrus responded.

TJ felt himself breath faster, this was by far the most difficult thing he had ever needed to do. They arrived at a bench, with no one else near, and Cyrus wanted to know what was going on.

"So, what do you want to say?" Cyrus asked.

"I... this is tough, so please be patient" TJ answered.

"Okay TJ, take your time" Cyrus said.

"Well, how can I put this?" TJ sighed "Please don't freak out"

"I promise I won't" Cyrus pledged.

Cyrus gave TJ a smile, in the hope that it would reassure the taller boy. He saw how nervous TJ was, and remained silent until TJ spoke up.

"Cyrus, for the last few months" TJ began "I've been trying to work out a few things"

"Like what TJ?" Cyrus posed.

"Who I care about, who I love" TJ explained "And I know exactly what the answer is"

"Are you going to tell me?" Cyrus continued.

"Yes" TJ responded "The fact is, I love you Cyrus"

It felt like from that moment on, everything would be different. TJ was not comfortable with change, but he knew he had to take the chance.

Cyrus meanwhile didn't feel confused anymore. He knew that he loved TJ, but was just too scared to admit to himself.

"Wow, that's the most amazing thing anyone has ever said to me" Cyrus rejoined "You really surprised me"

"How do you feel about it?" TJ questioned.

"I'm so touched" Cyrus stated "In fact, I want to tell you that I love you too"

"Wait, really?" TJ retorted.

"I'm sorry I never said anything" Cyrus commented "As I'm sure you know, it's difficult to admit that you're different"

"It really is" TJ concurred.

"So, do you want to go out with me?" Cyrus wondered.

"Yes, I would really like that" TJ declared.

TJ hugged Cyrus so tightly afterwards, not wanting to let the smaller boy go. He finally felt at one with himself, and didn't care what anyone else thought.
