Chapter 24

*Wendy's P.O.V*

"WENDY V.S SHOTO TODOROKI IS A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED CAN WE ALL AGREE ON THAT" screeched Present Mic. I sighed my ears were kinda getting used to all the noise, but the crowd just cheered too loud.

"WELL LET'S GET THIS STARTED SHALL WE! GO" yelled Midnight. Shoto started off with trying to freeze me I just jumped away and whispered "Fast wind that run the heaven...VERNIER...Power of the stout arms that tears heaven... ARMS..." I had enchanted myself and I faintly glowed blue.

"SKY'S DRAGON ROAR" I shouted while sending a hurricane-like blast at Shoto, who managed to wasn't able to dodge it in time, I grinned he would wear out fast.

He once again tried attacking me with ice but I just dodge, I ran up close to and used my . He got hit and tried to put some distance between us, I let him and tried to study my breathing.

This fight still wasn't over yet and I wanted to end it as fast as I could, "SKY'S DRAGON WAVE WIND" I swung my hand and subsequently generates a large and very powerful tornado.

He once again tried to dodge it and used his ice like a shield. His thought hard and finally decided to freeze the ground. Me being who I am tried to run and slipped like always.

He just had a grin and ran towards try to hit me. He had mostly relied on his magic/quirk and didn't know how to throw a punch, or he just didn't want to hit me(which I doubted).

I kicked him and said "Use your fire Todo-kun, its your fire why should you be scared of becoming like him, YOU'LL NEVER BE LIKE HIM!" with my enhanced hearing I was able to pick up that he refused to use his fire powers because he didn't want to be like his father.

His face turned dark "FIGHT ME LIKE YOU DID WITH IZUKU, ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME AGAIN?" I yelled with a serious face. He looked torn, I knew that this is one of the ways to get him to fight me fully but he looked scared to hurt me.

"I MEAN IT TODOROKI OR I'LL...I'LL..." I couldn't think of anything, I had blanked out. He once again refused to fight me at full power.

He looked at Midnight and back at me, we just stood still. I knew what he was gonna do but I just couldn't move. "Don't Todoroki" I softly said, he looked at me sad eyes, "I forfeit Midnight".

I got mad, he thinks i'm weak or need to protected but in reality I'm stronger than all of the! I have survived countless battles and they think I'm weak.

 I was kinda upset and glared at Todoroki, I ran down the platform and went to take a break.

"WELL... WASN'T THAT INTERESTING FOLKS. THE NEXT MATCH WILL BEGIN SHORTLY PLEASE STAY SEATED" Present Mic said also looking shocked.

I just ran out of the stadium and stopped running, I was frustrated. Why am I the only one here, I don't deserve this. I thought bitterly and suddenly had a flashback.

*FLASHBACK*

I was looking at the sea, it was so beautiful and was never ending. Like our guild name, 'Fairy Tail' an eternal mystery behind whether fairies have tails or not, or if they even existed, like an eternal adventure.

I often thought about that and was so deep in thought I didn't notice someone sneaking behind me, "What'cha thinking of Wendy?" asked a soft voice.

I turned around to met a boy with dark purple hair and black eyes. "Just thinking about our guild name" I responded while laying down.

"Are you okay Wendy, you seem kinda sad." he asked gently, I nodded my head, Fairy Tail was the strongest guild in Fiore. Everyone knows about Fairy Tail, but they always ask why we named our guild Fairy Tail. Another eternal mystery I thought to myself.

"I feel weak" I mumbled Romeo's expression shifted "What?!" I looked up and said the sunset, "Natsu, Gajeel, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Juvia, and everyone, they're all strong. They have been through countless battles.

And me just a weak little girl who stays on the sidelines, and heals everyone else. I stand by and just watch them fight, I'm nothing compared to them Romeo..."

We were silent for a second "No" whispered Romeo. "What" I asked confused "NO! Your the strongest girl I've ever known. You have fought countless battles, have been through many things I can never compare too, and for DAMN SAKE YOUR FROM THE PAST!

YOU BATTLED ACNOLOGIA AND HELPED NATSU-NEE CHAN DEFEAT HIM! WENDY YOU ARE ANYTHING BUT WEAK! YOUR THE STRONGEST, MOST BEAUTIFUL, MOST BUBBLY PERSON I'VE EVER KNOWN! DON'T EVER DOUBT YOURSELF WENDY! EVER..." He yelled.

I looked up at him and started crying he just leaned down and patted my head "Let it all out Wendy, your okay. Your okay"

*FLASHBACK END*

I cried, I missed Romeo, and everyone. Why is life so unfair, why can't we just catch a break. We fought so many times already, why!

I sniffed and someone sat next to me, I didn't bother to look. "What do you want" I asked coldly. He hesitated before said something "I'm sorry" I scoffed "For what, it was your choice I can't change that" I said emotionless.

"I didn't mean to underestimate you at all...It's just I didn't want to hurt you. I didn't land a single hit until I froze the ground and hesitated to hurt you." he said softly.

I sighed "You promise not hold back next time Todoroki?" I asked "I promise" he said and smiled. "May I ask why you were crying?" Todoroki said gently.

"Yeah, it's just that I was reminded of a memory I had with my best friend. He cheered me up and I'm so grateful for him." I said smiling fondly not noticing his smile dying out.

"I just miss my family and I'm constantly being reminded of not being with my family." I said tears welling up in my eyes once again.

I tried to hold it in but failed miserably. "It's okay to cry Wendy I'll be here" Todo gently said as he patted my head like Romeo once did.

I cried as he hugged my tightly and never once loosen his grip. He also ran his hand through my hair which calmed me down and I slowly fell asleep in his hands. 

*UNKNOWN P.O.V*

"LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ARE I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD MAKE A CUTE COUPLE" said voice #1 "THAN WOULD YOU STOP SHOVING ME I WANT TO SEE THEM TOO" said voice #2.

"DAMN WE NEED TO WORK HARDER GUYS OR ELSE WE'LL LOSE" cursed voice #3 while the other 4 voices agreed.

"HAH WE ALL KNOW WENDY BELONGS WITH TODOROKI SO JUST DROP IT" voice # 1 and 2 said in unison. "WE'LL SEE" voice #3-7 all thought as they watched they very much cute scene.
